UPDATE: Our bathroom is finally done! It was quite the rollercoaster to get here but now that it’s all said and done, thank God we LOVE the finished product! I still hold the opinion that what should have been a simple bathroom gut and update did not have to be the fiasco it turned into. With a bit of more concise orchestration of scheduling, AK&B could have avoided many of the mishaps we experienced. If it not been for those mishaps, I’d be able to dole out 5 stars easily but for now, I will settle at four stars which is really more like 3.5 to 3.75. So pleased from the very beginning to the end with Deanna from Allen Kitchen and Bath. She must've provided me with 25-30 different designs; I just couldn't make up my mind! She was so patient and understanding with me but what stood out was that Deanna did not waiver with any of my initial choices. She gave firm, solid suggestions and so many options! I was like a kid in a candy store. When all of my custom choices began to become too pricey Deanna made recommendations on how we could save money and keep me afloat in the project. Allen Kitchen and Bath caused me so many delays and extra surprise costs. Laree is a nice lady, but boy is she scattered, unorganized and forgetful. The first thing she said to me and my husband was "Do you want to buy a business?" I think she has one foot out the door and it shows when you are relying on them to have the details covered. It was not until the time of install (and once they had my downpayment) that all these extra costs and details were missed. Had a “refresh” done to our kitchen. New countertops, sink, electrical, flooring and some trim. Allen K&B was fantastic to work with. Their designer came out within a few days and took all the measurements and met with us a few days later to go over the plans. After going through the showroom and picking out the various upgrades we wanted, the project was scheduled. I must say, everything went very smooth: plumbing, electrical, carpentry-all their when scheduled and excellent work. The kitchen looks great and the cost was very reasonable. I would highly recommend them for a remodeling project and were especially fun to work with.
