In the fall of 2023, we purchased a fireplace. It worked fine when they first set it up, but it stayed unused for a few months. When we tried to start it, it wouldn't turn on. They sent a technician and ended up replacing the igniting unit. The following winter, when we went to start it, we had the same problem, and they replaced the unit again. This year, the unit won't start again, and we are no longer covered by the warranty so it will cost us $199 to have a technician diagnose the problem plus whatever it costs to replace it. I don't know if it's the product they use or their technicians, but I do know that our experience has sucked.
