Repaired a leaky toilet. Shortly after the repair, another leak appeared and the technician promptly returned and fixed the issue. Have always had great service from Action Mechanical for both of our homes and would not consider going with another service.
These guys are awesome. The only downside tends to be availability, testament to the quality of service.
Came home from vacation to some moderate flooding. Insurance needed a plumber and Kelly made sure he could fit us in. Service like this is what keeps us coming back to Action Mechanical.

Three companies messed around for ten days before Action Mechanical sent Justin over. He was knowledgeable, determined, and found and fixed the problem in two hours. Hands down best service I’ve experienced in Rapid City in 13 years.
I have used Action Mechanical twice since I've been in Rapid; first time was to replace a water heater and second was today to fix a sink pea trap. Both experiences have been top notch. The entire team, from the person who answers the phone to the technicians have been wonderful. They were extremely patient, understanding, and quick to schedule and perform services. I fell like they go out of their way to give a customer the best experience. I wouldn't recommend anyone else!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I was a faithful customer for many years, but my latest experience with Action Mechanical was horrible. In December of 2024, an Action Mechanical HVAC tech installed a new thermostat in our home. Less than a year later it stopped working. We had no heat and it was freezing temperatures at night. The soonest Jason with Action Mechanical would dispatch a tech to our home was 10 days later. I was forced to work with another company (who sent someone same day) and their tech informed me that the WRONG thermostat had been installed by the Action Mechanical tech. (It was too high voltage for my very old direct vent wall system - which made sense because it had an air conditioning option and we had no central air.) I called Action Mechanical to hopefully receive some sort of a refund since I had to pay twice to fix the same problem in just 10 months due to their faulty work, and was told there was NOTHING THEY COULD DO because I had worked with another company to fix the problem, even though I tried to work with Action Mechanical in the first place and they refused to help in a reasonable amount of time. (Side note, I googled the faulty thermostat Action Mechanical had installed and it had terrible reviews and retailed for $40.26 Action Mechanical charged me over $107 for the part alone - $171 for the inadequate service). I wasn’t even asking the company for a full refund, just something and was basically scoffed at.
