Ace Handyman Services Southern Maine

I hired an Ace handyman to fix four issues, and only two were resolved. During the visit, he placed his tools directly on my dining room table and scratched the surface, which was very disappointing! One of the main issues was a draft coming in through my door. He applied a few patch-type fixes, but the draft is still coming in. When I called the company afterward to explain that the door was not fixed and that I still had multiple areas with drafts, I was told it would be covered under the one-year warranty—due to the issue not being resolved. I was then told that the handyman claimed he informed me the door would need to be removed and caulked for an additional charge. This was never mentioned to me during the appointment. Another issue involved my dishwasher. I was told I needed to replace the dishwasher because the rollers were broken. However, someone else who has the same dishwasher explained that there is a repair kit available and the rollers can be replaced, which suggests the handyman did not take the time to properly look into a repair option. Overall, this felt like bare-minimum work with little effort to truly fix the problems or explore reasonable solutions. Unfortunately, I would not use this service again or recommend it to others.

From start to finish working with Ace Handyman Services Southern Maine was a professional and courteous experience. Setting up the appointments, managed by phone and email by Nicole and Kate was informative, easy, and pleasant. This was important because I was admittedly stressed by a job that had been bungled by a previous handyman and a no-show by a second handyman. Ace kept us informed, we always knew who was showing up at what time. Jordan came the first day and successfully lowered a large pendant light that had been previously installed too high. No easy task since the previous person had cut the extra cord. For our second visit Jordan and Jordan2 returned to install a very large fixture from a 10 ft ceiling. We so appreciate the care that they took and the quality of the work. We are delighted!

Great work, great to work with! Its hard to find anyone to tackle a small project. I sent message and received a quick response back. They explained the cost breakdown for labor and potential material cost and laid out what to expect. The job was booked in a very reasonable time frame. Chris called the night before and on his way. He arrived and met with my tenant. Took time to call me a few times as I wasn't able to be there. The job called for patching a 3"- 4" gap around a new bath tub/surround that was just installed. I knew it was going to be difficult due to different surfaces and layers. He explained everything to me and we talked through the options. The finished work came out great & better then I was expecting. Price was very fair for the amount of time it took/ great finished product. Highly recommend this team! I will be using for future projects.
