My son blew a piston in the engine of his 1986 Toyota 4-Runner last year. He rebuilt/replaced the engine, but was having a variety of issues related to idling, timing, etc. Chris troubleshot a whole list of possible solutions and the truck now runs much more smoothly. His knowledge of Toyotas is phenomenal, but what was really cool, was Chris's willingness to share that knowledge, making all sorts of useful suggestions to my son for better engine performance. I would recommend Chris for any job!

I have never left a review for a business before on google, but I could not let this service go unnoticed. We were traveling through Jackson from Ohio and our check emissions system light came on. Looking up possible reasons in our manual there were numerous potential causes and recommendations were to get to a dealer as soon as possible and not to drive more than 35 mph. This unfortunately occurred on Saturday night and no Honda dealership existed for hundreds of miles. Also no repair shops were open on Sunday. We had many more drives to come and were scheduled to leave for the tetons and northward on Monday. I found the great reviews for this business and stopped first thing when opened Monday morning. Mechanic was very busy and backed up with cars but stopped to hook up a quick diagnostic, explained the reasoning for the light and how to manage it. He spoke with us for 15 minutes to assist and even gave us info on where to see bears in the park that day based on word from his wife. He would not accept any money for this service and over 3000 miles and 8 states later the light has not returned. And darn if we didnt see a grizzly and its cub as well! This business was a life saver for me and my family. Our kids got to enjoy rafting and horseback riding and national park adventures rather than waiting on the van at a repair shop because of the honesty and care this shop displayed. Can't thank you enough!

We have a 1984 Toyota BJ45 and on our way to the national parks in the area, we noticed an oil leak. It was a hose which had a rupture. We stopped by A1 Auto and Chris (the owner) dropped everything and looked at our problem. As we are international travellers, we have an engine that was never sold in the US which made sourcing the spare part on a Friday afternoon impossible. He ended up helping us source parts locally out of which we could manufacture a temporary fix to get us going again for the weekend. Needless to say that we are extremely grateful. Incredible service and super friendly. If we lived in Jackson Hole, he would definitely be our "go to guy" for everything car related from now on. Thank you so much, Chris!
