Our realtor recommended A & D to us upon purchase our new home. The carpet was horrible and we knew we would need to switch it out quickly. I met with Amanda Frazier who went above and beyond to be sure we got what we needed, including hardwood floors in one of the bedrooms. Not only was she great, the installation people were amazing, working without complaints around a painting crew that was also in our home. I could not recommend them more highly or speak with more enthusiasm about their professionalism and quality of work.
I was referred to A&D Carpets & Hardwoods by several people, but what really pushed me to finally move forward was seeing a close friend’s floors after she had hers done. I had just been at her house, saw them in person, and absolutely loved them. I’ll admit, I had been putting it off for a while — my floors had definitely run their course — but seeing hers reignited both my desire and my need to replace mine.
I did have a few concerns going into it. First was the cost, especially right after Christmas. I was planning to wait until tax time, but my friend told me about the no interest and no payments financing she had received. She was surprised she even qualified after a recent divorce and credit challenges, so hearing that made me feel much more confident. Once I realized how affordable it could be, I decided to go ahead rather than wait.
Another big concern for me was that I live alone, and I’m very careful about who I allow into my home. One of the main reasons I ultimately chose A&D was because they do not subcontract their installers. Everything is handled by one in-house team from start to finish, and knowing this family-owned business has been around for many years and uses only their own employees gave me complete peace of mind. I knew exactly who would be coming into my home, and that mattered a lot to me.
The free in-home consultation made the process so easy. They guided me through every step, helped me choose a floor I absolutely love, and walked me through pricing and financing. I was a little nervous about approval, but I was approved, and my floors were just completed — and I could not be happier.
The installers were wonderful. They were professional, clean, respectful, and truly felt like people I had known for years. They took care of removing and resetting furniture, didn’t smoke, and treated my home with care. I also appreciated knowing that if any fine-tuning is needed as the floors acclimate, I know exactly who to call and that they will stand behind their work.
I’m beyond happy with my new floors — and honestly, I think I might like mine even better than my friend’s! I would highly recommend A&D Carpets & Hardwoods to anyone considering new flooring.
Save your time and money… choose another flooring company. Nice people but poor quality work. We were very displeased with how the trim looked at the end of the job. Yes, the manager came back to redo it, but it still looks so-so. One of the owners said, “We only close the gap.” Why not train your workers to successfully do trim? The other owner said, “They are not carpenters.” We were not looking for specialized carpenters. If you provide a service, do it to the best of your ability. Not sure why they even do trim then? I wouldn’t have hired them if I knew how the trim looked at the end. The flooring looked great but the trim looked like crap. Their motto should be “Good from far but far from good.” It was not detailed work. Every time my mom comes to our house, she says she has to avoid looking at the trim because it just doesn’t look good. Here are only a few photos today that show the work from less than a year later.
