24 Hour Power

I was reluctant to admit our downed generator was outside my skill set and I needed to call a “professional”. Fortunately, our serendipitous experience with Alan and 24 Hour Power has turned my cynical term of “professional” into PRO-FESS-ION-AL! I am amazed and astounded at the integrity and degree of professional standards that Alan holds himself and his company to. He spent more than 7 hours over multiple days to figure out what was going on with our generator, including multiple calls to Generac (they were stumped as well) and time at home thinking through the issue(s). He was adaptable to all the date changes I requested regarding the initial diagnosis, graciously moving other appointments around to accommodate my schedule. He came out at 7:30 in the morning the day of the snowstorm to install a part that hopefully would keep us safe and warm if the power went out. If he was frustrated about the seemingly evasive solution, he didn’t show it, genuinely stating that he liked a challenge. And when it all did get worked out and the time added up, he didn’t charge for the extra hours. You know what he said? “It’s my job to be able to diagnose your issue. That’s my responsibility. And if I don’t know and need to learn something new, why should that be on you?” Who does that??? Well, we all should, but you get my point. I wish I had an Alan for everything: plumbing, electrical, mechanical…accounting, legal, medical…. Ask my kids – I don’t get amped about something unless it is truly impressive. Alan is truly impressive.
