The quality of the fence materials is accentuated by the quality of the installation. The crew was friendly, informative and worked quickly to complete the job. Thank you Fence Masters.

Had a great experience with Fence Masters. Unlike many construction/fence/contractor type companies, the showed up when they said they would, did exactly what they said they would do and for the price they said they would do it for. While you may think (isn't that what you are supposed to do?), most companies I have dealt with in the past do not do any of those things. I couldn't be happier! If I has to think of one thing I wish were different, it would have nothing to do with Fence Masters, but with who they recommend for sealing/staining the fence. Apparently the person they recommend would have charged me $450 to seal 75' of fence (with me providing the sealer/stain). Based on my estimate, it would take absolutely no more than 2 hours to do this job, for an average of $225 an hour. I'm not saying that fence stainers don't deserve top dollar for the wonderful job they do, but come on now, rocket scientist, literarily, do not make $225 an hour. I guess I am in the wrong business. But I digress...Fence Masters are A+ in my book!

Had half my backyard upgraded from chain-link to a nice cedar fence. Very happy with the work.

Up front I'm very satisfied with the completed project. Since I'm retired, home all day, and without dogs, the problems I had in installing one side of my fence, did not negatively impact me. However, I was disappointed in a lack of professionalism and consideration, as follows: 1. They were scheduled to start on a Monday but did not show up at all. It was not a problem but I was very surprised that I wasn't contacted at all to advise me there would be a delay. Further, I had to "track down" one of the owner's as they only have an answering service, and were not immediately available. The project was delayed a week. In fact, after executing an agreement (that I had to prepare), I had no further contact with the sales rep. 2. In addition to replacing a 113' side of my fence, they were also to adjust two gates that had been installed by FM's about 4 years ago. The crew did adjust one of the gates but they were unaware of the second gate. The crew did complete the adjustment without a problem, but I would prefer not to have to notify the crew myself, because you can never be certain how an individual will react; i.e., it should've been included in the original instructions. 3. I was advised the project would be completed within four days. I assumed that was to account for something like weather. The old fence section was removed and the new poles set on day one. They didn't return until the fourth day, and took less than a day to complete it, i.e., there was no weather problems so it could've been completed in two days. As I indicated above, this did not inconvenience me, however, I would've preferred to be advised up front that they may have other jobs to work on that may delay installation. 4. After completion, the crew was leaving behind about 40' of steel garden border that had been installed into the ground at the bottom of the old fence. Of the 40', about 30' was now laying on top of the surface with 10' still buried. Similarly, there was 30' old coaxial cable partially buried. When I pointed this out I was told these items were part of the old fence and not their responsibility. I insisted they needed to remove it and they did. 5. In general, I'm not crazy about music being played over a portable boom box at my house, especially without my approval. Again, as I indicated I was not inconvenienced myself, but I am providing this feedback as constructive criticism for FM's consideration, because I would have felt much different about these issues I had taken vacation days or been otherwise inconvenienced.

Great quality fence (you will pay more for this, but it does outlast any other fence). Project management is terrible. I was trying to coordinate schedule with my neighbor so he could have his dogs put away during installation. I asked for a days notice prior to installation. but was told at 7:00am that the crew was on the way. Neighbor had already left for work, so I had to send the crew home. I expected the crew to come back the next day since they had just been there, but they didn't. I would call to get a new schedule (answered by an answering service), and would be told "Maybe this Friday." Again, hard to manage pets with this response. It would rain during the week, I wouldn't get a reschedule notice, so I would call for a new schedule. After about 3 weeks like this, they stopped returning my call. One day I got a call around 8:00 am that the crew would be there that afternoon. My neighbor had to come home from work to put the dogs away. The work crew had lots of questions about the work they were trying to do that I had gone over in the initial quote. If I hadn't come home early, the fence would have been incorrect (poor communication to the work crew). There were two separate fence sections I asked to be completed. After the first section was done, I received an invoice for all the work. I told them that I would not pay until all the work was done. It took them another 4 weeks to come out and complete the second portion of the work. I have used this company for my original fence 18 years ago and it has lasted nicely. I know the quality and workmanship is very good, but the poor planning and communication will make me think twice about using them again. I am not a "difficult" customer. I simply would like some communication around the things I specifically ask for. I was not in a rush for the fence, so the rain delays were not a problem. The mystery of whether or not they would show up was the problem.

Spent $17,000 on a fence that doesn’t shut properly. We have called and left several messages and sent several text and emails with absolutely NO RESPONSE! We have called several times and tried to give them a chance to make it right but all we ever get is an answering service that says they will take a message. This company definitely isn’t what they appeared to be from the beginning when we first had them come out to give us a quote. If you’re considering this company to have work done, I WOULD HIGHLY SUGGEST USING SOMEONE ELSE!
