I'm only leaving 5 stars because 10 wasn't an option. Simply put I won't use anyone else. Eight or so years ago I was having issues with my A/C so I contacted one of the large hvac companies in town, they sent me a detailed quote with fancy photographs and technical descriptions of what was wrong and needed fixed and an astronomical price estimate of which I was skeptical. Since Mr. Wivell originally installed the hvac system in my house over 20 years ago (long before I owned the home), I forwarded the quote to him and he said he would come take a look. Since Mr. Wivell originally installed the hvac system in my house over 20 years ago (long before I owned the home), I forwarded the quote to him and he said he would come take a look. Not only did he tell me that there was nothing wrong with any of the components that the other company highlighted...he was able to quickly fix the actual problem that turned out to be very small and inexpensive while the other company never even mentioned this as being a possible issue. On another occasion, my system needed a new part that was going to take a 2 days to show up, Mr. Wivell took the time to show me a trick to which I could get my system restarted if it were to stop again while waiting on the new part. I also have an oil furnace in my home that is over 60 years old and after purchasing the oil company's service plan and their technicians telling me after the 3rd visit that I needed a new furnace, I called Mr. Wivell. He had it fixed the same day. Needless to say, I no longer purchase the oil company service plan. This past summer it was time to get a new hvac unit. I asked Mr. Wivell to quote me the available options. My beautiful bride naturally chose the most expensive option. Mr. Wivell told us that he would install that if we wanted it but advised us that the next cheaper option would have close to the same energy efficiency and would be more cost friendly to repair if something were to go wrong with it after the warranty period. We went with his recommendation and the new system was installed the following week. From oil furnaces made in 1961 to modern hvac systems built in 2025, Mr. Wivell's 40 plus years in the industry are evident through his expertise in all aspects of heating and cooling. Furthermore, I've found over numerous encounters that he always gives his honest assessment and never tries to up sell customers on something they don't need for the sake of making a quick buck. Mr. Wivell's integrity as a person and business owner is unparalleled as can be seen through his dedication to his craft and his customers. I won't use anyone but Wivell's Heating and Air Conditioning!
