Wathen Pest Control

I schedule an appointment well over a week ago. Called morning of appointment at 11:00 AM to make sure they were still coming at 4:00PM I had to make arrangements to get my fur babies away from the house and my kids, also for someone to be at my house for them to come in. At 4:20 I called back because the person waiting at my house said they still had not shown up. The man who answered the phone who does the scheduling was extremely unprofessional, and didn’t make sense. Seemed very out of reality. He said due to the rain they were not coming, I told him your spraying in my house it doesn’t rain in my house. He said well it’s muddy; the mud will get in the wheels and Mess up the equipment, and the guys had other jobs today. What??!!! Reminded him I live in town literally no mud is around my location. Everything is concrete roads no matter what way you’re coming from and I have a concrete street, driveway, sidewalk…I live in a neighborhood. He continued to argue with me. Saying we were fixing to get more rain coming through and there just not coming. We didn’t get any more rain at all. Even though the rain should have nothing to do with spraying INSIDE MY HOUSE. He didn’t seem to comprehend logic. Definitely couldn’t make a clear sentence, point or reasonable excuse. My friend had an appointment a couple days prior and they never called and never showed up, which is why I called at a 11:00 AM to make sure they were still coming. Some people have to rearrange their schedules and other’s schedules to be able to be at their homes for them to come, and He felt it’s okay to just not call or show up without notice. Very unprofessional and inconsiderate. They showed up three days later “To the man who came to my house unaware that I had already told your appointment guy 3 days ago that I would no longer need Wathen’s services, I am sorry that you were inconvenienced today, this is not directed towards you in any way.” The man that makes the appointments failed you, has failed customers other than myself with this same reoccurring issue. I am not one to leave reviews, but this man was the most unprofessional human being. I understand everyone has bad days. But this is two different days that I was disrespected by this man. Not to mention his poor scheduling skills. I asked him to please ask his guy to leave because I did not have an appointment. I wasn’t home. He said “ I got an idea, how bout you go out there and tell him to leave yourself” then continued to talk over me and yell as I explained that I wasn’t home. Before I hung up he said “Thanks for the notice! “ He was rude and beyond disrespectful. I will never use Wathen’s as long as this man is employed there.

They sprayed around the outside of the house for ants on April 7th, 2020 which cost me $60.00. I was told the spray would eliminate the colony, and the ants would be gone in a couple of days. They used the same spray under the house about a week before. As of today April 30th, 2020 we still have an unmanageable ant problem. I called the office on w 9th st, In Owensboro and the man on the phone told me all the rain must have washed the spray away, but it didn't rain under the house, and the same spray was used under the house about a week earlier. I do not recommend Wathens pest for anything.
