Village Ace Hardware & Supply

Tried charging $4, then $8 to “install” a battery they insisted on doing for me. Went in to buy a battery for my car’s key fob. They took the key fob from me, went online to watch a video to change it for me. I was in a rush. So, I asked if I could watch the video while he grabbed the battery. I watched the video, opened the fob, and just as I was taking the battery out he grabbed it from me and insisted on doing it for me. Then I grabbed it back and closed the fob. When I went to the register the woman smiled and said “we charge $4 to install the battery for you.” I said “lol nice try” She laughed and pretended to take off the $4, but added another $4 (now a total of $8 for “install”) and tried to grab my credit card from me. I said “I’m going to have to insist those charges are removed. One, I was never notified of the install fee. Two, I did everything, but drop the battery in. She cancelled the order and rang up just the battery while glaring at me… what an odd experience. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤔

I had an excellent experience at the Village Ace Hardware. I am new to the Village, and will be residing here in Sedona permanently. As a global leader in women's empowerment, this is exactly the community excellence that I love to see. I was very pleased to experience the utmost kindness, respect, and support when I brought in my broken car key. The gentleman at the key kiosk was super helpful and patient, and I felt very safe. He deserves a raise. Experiences such as the one I had help to make Planet Earth a better place. I am very grateful for the positive experience and for the lovely people in this store!
