I work with four alarm system providers on various properties and Vector is by far the worst. While their on site technicians are knowledgeable, their customer service is abysmal. It is impossible to reach a live person in the “correct” department to assist with problems, and it usually takes 3-4 calls to find someone who can help. Vector’s billing reps and systems are difficult to work with. We recently sold a house and cancelling our contract with Vector took three months and they refused to rebate eight months of unused monitoring fees. Unless you like dealing with incompetence and bureaucracy, avoid Vector Security at all costs.

I got in touch with Smitty to see if I can get a quote on an install/package. The place I moved in already used Vector, so I already knew it was a well established/known company. Smitty did a wonderful job of finding me the right package, working with me to get the installation scheduled and responded always on time. Phillips, the technician was very knowledgeable and made specific recommendations on where some of the equipments/sensors should go, which I really appreciate. The install was completed in under 2 hours and now I can access my.garage door from the app too.
