Have used Vac Shack a couple of times and I always leave with the sense, that the guy that runs this little business must have a PHD in vacuum cleaners, its always such a joy interacting with 'meisters of their craft'. Decided to splurge on a new vacuum, after extensive research (of brands & reputable dealers) we decided on 700$ Sebo Felix Premium for their 10 year warranty, durability, good reviews & their hospital grade hepa filtration system. We were happy to find a local business that sells / repairs the brand (been in business for over 50 years) We wen Vac shack this morning, John was kind, knowledgeble & found precisely the model we desired, based on our flooring requirements, also lowest prices in the city. I'm very happy with my purchase. Highly recommend buying quality items that will last a lifetime & supporting local businesses instead of big box stores. I infact recommend John & the Vac Shack over the other fancy vacuum stores, its good people that make all the difference. Im sure I will be back, thanks again John.
It's hard to find a place where you get incredible service and great product, even 20 years after you bought something. John the owner knows all things about cleaning products and has been in the business almost forever. When my 20 year old Riccar that he sold me needed a new handle, HE HAD ONE ! And he was super excited when I brought the unit in to check the fit and chat. John and the Vac Shack are a secret treasure in Ottawa.
We arrived at Vac Shop this afternoon just as it was closing (I didn't check the store hours ahead of time, my bad) and John was about to leave. He welcomed us into the store and turned on the lights. The power beater head on our "Porsche" Kenmore was wasn't working. It took John about 30 seconds to reset the vacuum and we were good to go. No charge! We also left behind a newer vacuum cleaner that he could use for parts and keep out of the landfill. THANK YOU, JOHN! for a job well done, keeping this customer happy and taking care of the environment!
