If you’re a woman with a car in Gainesville or surrounding areas, PLEASE read this. I’ve always recommend Tony’s Automotive to my friends but I need to give him shout out because he went above and beyond today. Tony was highly recommended to me by locals so I’ve gone to Tony for years and years now. He’s the only mechanic I fully trust and this week proved exactly why. I ran over something and had an issue with my car while I was out of town, and I ended up at a big chain tire shop feeling overwhelmed and unsure if I was being taken advantage of. I reached out to Tony just for advice, and he immediately helped. He responded right away, asked questions, helped me understand what was going on, and when he realized something wasn’t right, he personally called the shop on my behalf to make sure I was being treated fairly. Because of him, I went from being told my car wouldn’t be ready until Monday to being able to pick it up TODAY. He has always been very transparent about my repairs, honest about what’s urgent and what can wait, and he gives me options instead of pressure. He checks my car before big road trips, gives personal recommendations for anything outside of his shop’s scope, and genuinely looks out for my safety.
