Beware of Techlab Steam. I contracted them for website development and faced issue after issue, ultimately ending up with a website that wasn’t fully functional. Despite pressure to make my final payment, issues continued to persist for months after. The bottom line, and reason for this review, was when my website crashed and they told me that it was a malware attack. Now while they might try to say that GoDaddy is the one that told them it was a malware attack, what I learned through that process was that someone had to manually set the "site down" on the backend. This is not something I did and their team were the only other ones that had access to it. Despite giving multiple opportunities for the company and owner to make things right, their response was to try to blame me for the issues because they failed to deliver a functioning website as contracted. They even went as far as to say their employee gave of his own time. Again, this was a website that still was not functioning as promised, had crashed multiple times, and encountered issue after issue. I had to pay two separate web developers to clean up my website, ensuring buttons and features were working and functional, and ultimately to manually turn my site back on. *UPDATE (6 months after initial review): After months of back and forth where the owner refused to take responsibility or correct the issues with my website, I received this public response. However, behind the scenes, no real effort was ever made to make things right. I had multiple conversations with the owner, yet nothing was done, forcing me to pay two separate web developers to fix their work. The initial issues remain the same: I was provided a non-functional website that continued to crash. Their team was the only other party with backend access when my site was manually taken offline, yet they refused to take responsibility. This response appears to be a last-minute attempt at damage control rather than a genuine effort to resolve the situation. If this were truly a priority, it wouldn’t have taken six months and a negative review for the owner to claim he “wants to make things right.” Proceed with caution when working with this company.
