I recently had Stony Creek install my fence and I can't say enough positive things about the experience. 1) Their quote was significantly lower than one I received from another vendor last year - matched my budget and expectations perfectly. 2) Their responsiveness in communication was top notch. Nearly everything was handled through text message (my preference) and they were quick to respond to any emails when needed. 3) The did literally all the work - not just the fence installation. They drew up all the plans required by my HOA and the county, they got the permits, everything. 4) Once approved they I was quickly scheduled (like next day quickly) and the fence was fully installed by the time my workday was over 5) My fence is beautiful and perfectly to spec. Seriously. My involvement in the entire process was to tell them what I wanted, relay messages between Stony Creek and my HOA, and pay them once the install was complete. I hope I never need another fence installed. But, if I do, I know who I'll call.

I do not recommend this company. My experience from start to finish was not satisfactory. When I inquired with this company I also inquired with several others. Stony Creek Fence Co was the last and far later to get in contact with me. The scheduling process was delayed and not professional. I felt better when I talked to the Owner John. I went with them due to the financing option offered. Once the process started. I had to be the one to be pushing for the next steps and paper work. When the project started. It took about a month from the time I signed paper work, to when the fence was installed. The fence was quickly installed. However, communication with the company was awful. The project manager and John would not answer their phones. They chose texting over any other form of communication. I at one point even received a text message from the project manager to their employees by mistake. After the installation, I was told there would be a walk through. I took it upon myself to walk the fence and inspect it. I found a list of problems and took pictures. I sent this to the project manager. He was supposed to come out to walk inspect with me. However, multiple reschedules occurred. When I sent the info. I received a message back stating "I did his job" and "there was no need to come out". Then the "repairs" took place. The repairs were bandage fixes. Drilling screws into boards to get them to look better. Removing and reinstalling a fence gate and it getting worse. Fence post being replaced due to warped lumber and getting another with more warped sections. Resulting in awful excuses for repairs. Eventually after another month of trying to get these repairs to my satisfaction. I accepted that they wouldn't. At this point I wanted my fence stained also provided by the company. I was not explained that the fence would need to be a specific moisture level before it could be stained. I inquired in early September of 2022 in the hopes it would be installed and stained before winter. 8 months later in the beginning of May I finally had it stained. 6 months after they already recieved full payment. I recieve my finished product. The excuses, the awful communication from the John was ridiculous. I had to reach out to him every month for 6 months. I started to become suspicious over him with the stain. The reason being was the reluctant nature of not wanting to check the fence moisure and the percentage always being too high. I bought a moisure tester myself. When I tested instantly I was in the "correct range". I sent John a text with pictures demanding it be done. Not surprising I recieved a message back stating "We were good to go and with the weather being warmer it would be good for staining". So was it the moisture or just not wanting to come out in the winter? After the demand was made. It took 3 weeks with countless excuses to why he couldnt finish the job yet that he had already been paid for. Eventually after sending a stern text over a complaint with The BBB. He made it out. I was out of state for work. I recieved notifications on my security cameras during the job of staining. Which looked to be going okay. Until one notification. John the owner himself who performed the job. Walked directly up to my company owned vehicle and looks at it almost inspecting it. Wipes his finger acrossed the vehicle. Then suspiciously walks away looking directly at my camera where his demeanor changed. Shady behavior. When I sent him a message confronting him a few days later when I arrived home to inspect the vehicle. He confessed he had over sprayed and was checking if it got on the vehicle. It did get all over the vehicle. Small little specs of stain. The next issue was he got stain all over my house siding and shed. Aswell as spayed stain into my grass which killed a large area. He also didn't stain several parts of the fence close to my shed and house. He "didnt know it wasn't finished". The stain cost $500 a 5 gal bucket. I demanded a bucket, which I recieved. We had three 8' panels of 6' shadowbox privacy fence come down during the high wind event right before Thanksgiving. The process to get in contact with John was very simple and he was very quick to make contact and get information about what we were wanting to do. We decided to replace a larger portion of our fence as it is aging and in need of replacement soon. We scheduled an appointment, met on site and John provide an itemized quote for the work in an extremely quick time-frame. We scheduled a date to begin work. John's crew was very timely and professional during the demolition and construction of the fence. EXTREMELY happy with the work that was performed. John's crew were very thoughtful of the work area and made sure to clean up the work site every day (the work itself only took 3 days to complete). The billing process was very simple and easy to complete. I highly recommend Stony Creek Fence Company and intend to use them again when it is time to replace the remainder of the fence. Our family recently built 2 new homes, on adjacent lots in Greenfield. John Baute and the Stony Creek Fence company were recommended to us by our home inspector. After an initial in-home visit by John, he worked thru 1 1/2 months of getting the HOA approval and the proper city permits. And let me tell you, it wasn't easy. But we both persevered, and now we have a beautiful fence surrounding both properties! Once we'd secured the proper paperwork, his crew completed the work in just 3 days! Thanks everyone!
