Be VERY clear about the job details and hope they speak up if you have an issue before it’s too late. I hate to leave this review but I have to. We contacted Kasey during our home buying process. He came out quickly did his inspection and had a quote to us. Overall the work that was done was good. A few issues along the way. We paid them to repair and resurface the entire house. They didn’t remove the gutters or light fixtures just stuccoed around them which we didn’t know they would do. When we realized this we asked them to remove the light fixtures and fix the stucco behind them because at some point we wanted to replace the lights and since the color was being changed we didn’t want it to be noticeable. We were charged more money but that’s fine we wanted it done correctly. We wished this would have addressed and discussed initially so we could have decided what to do before they started. When you’re quoted “whole house” you kinda think it means all of it even behind gutters…. The job was completed and we loved the outcome. Fast forward to about 9 months later. We notice we are having water coming in above our kitchen windows. We called out a window company thinking that was the issue. They found a hole in the side of our home. Our next call was to Kasey the owner of SteadFast who did our “whole home” stucco job. That experience is where it took a turn. We were then given a typical contractor lack of accountability response, “Well we only resurfaced the whole home we can’t resurface what’s not there”. Which was such an unhelpful and lazy response. To be fair, technically he was not wrong. However, it is heartless and bad business by someone who knows something was missed and his workers should have spoken up. He came out and charged a lot of money for an initial inspection, aren’t locating areas of missing siding part of that? This blows my mind. I am assuming because he was already paid and did not want to be on the hook for the now drywall damages inside he chose to handle it poorly. We are not stucco contractors, we paid and relied on Kasey to let us know what problems we had and to help us fix them. Being a new purchased home we had no clue of this issue. His workers should have pointed out the problem as they were resurfacing the ENTIRE HOME??? We would have gladly paid whatever to remedy the problem. Nope, no one said anything. They just kept moving, I mean it’s not their home so no big deal. Kasey came out after telling us it wasn’t his responsibility and attempted to caulk it. He said he’d give us a quote to fix the drywall inside which is now ruined inside. Big shocker we never received a quote from him for the drywall just crickets. To this day after paying SteadFast over $30k for their work we still have water coming in through the hole in other side of our home. It’s upsetting because our house looked so good and we loved it. I’m very disappointed in how this all played out, I wouldn’t recommend him to anyone else. Needless to say we hired a DIFFERENT contractor to come out and fix the siding and drywall. Honestly, when Kasey came out of he handled it differently, fixed the issue even if we needed to pay for the drywall I would have let him fix it. At this point I’m so upset and rather pay anyone else.
