Edit to add: I definitely let them know that I was going to be very vocal about the horrible service we received. Don’t fall for their nonsense, they did not try and work with us and the manager was the kind of insecure person who trips on power, you know the type. This is not a place for families. Please don’t let them break your kids heart too. We went in and purchased a bike for my grandsons 11th birthday. He picked out what he thought he wanted. They encouraged him to ride it around and see if he liked it. Once we brought it home he rode it once up the street and back. Parked it INSIDE our house because the garage is being worked on, and it sat. He finally got very upset and told me he made a mistake and picked a bike a didn’t like. I told him we were well within the return time. I went to return it and it is obvious that the manager is not there to help customers at all. She was cold, rude, and said no the bike is used it can’t be returned. I said but the bike is not used? He parked it inside the house and only rode his old bike? She said there is dust on the spokes. I said I live on the east side by the bluffs, my whole house is dusty. Doesn’t that prove it’s not been ridden? She did not offer any compromises, no considerations. We would have gladly chosen another bike, made adjustments, even considered store credit. Nothing. She said and I quote “ we don’t know what was done to it once you drove away”. I’m actually shocked. I cannot believe a business that has operated in Bakersfield for this many years would treat customers this horribly. My grandpa said they are a bunch of thieves and I should have listened. Imagine screwing an 11 year old over on his birthday. We are broken hearted for him. Please do not use this company, even though the receipt said that they do returns, she told me they never do. Do not trust them.
