S&L Transmission and Automotive

So I've had S&L transmission in Sanford do my transmission twice. Even though it was expensive, it still is better than buying a new car. It had it done very quickly, troubleshooted it when needed, but overall, I've had a good experience and they've always stuck by with their warranty and their quality of work. They offer a 6 month warranty and they stand by that. Most businesses will only either offer 60 or 90 days. Thank you Susan. Mark Grindle

We recently took our 2008 Chrysler Town and Country in for trans problems. Both Susan and JJ were very friendly and thorough! I read their reviews and chose them. I’d do it again if I had to! They are good people and I’d rather support a locally owned business than some chain or dealership! They’ve taken great care of us and I highly recommend them! Total spent was right around $6k for remanufactured trans with unlimited miles warranty, both axles, fluids/filters, oil change, trans mount, brakes and couple other pieces. Compare that to others and the choice is clear! Go to S&L and you won’t be sorry! Shop local and support private businesses!

4.5 stars I can’t say enough good things about S & L Transmission. After searching for over an hour in every direction, this was the only shop willing and able to take on my 5-speed Tremec under a ’71 Chevelle. When you’re dealing with a full resto-mod full of aftermarket parts, all the simplicity of a classic build goes right out the window — and Susan and her team never backed down from the challenge. From start to finish, Susan, Lance, and their office manager, Victoria, were easy to communicate with, patient, and incredibly knowledgeable. I’ll admit I’m not the easiest customer — I ask a lot of questions (and then a few more) — but they handled everything with honesty and professionalism. S & L Transmission truly represents what a genuine mom-and-pop shop should be: skilled, transparent, and customer-focused. They delivered exactly what I wanted and, for the first time in a long while, I got what I paid for. After dealing with several shops during this project, I can confidently say this is the one that stands out above the rest.
