Shaker Violin Repair

My son began his violin lesson when he was in 4th grade. We had a good experience when visiting Stephen. He is a very nice and friendly guy who gave us a lot of knowledge about violin. When my son began his middle school we need to change a full size violin we traded in our old one which bought from Stephen, he gave us good price. He is always nice to everyone. If you need a string instrument, this is a really good place to go.

My 4th grade daughter and I had an amazing experience when visiting Stephen's "fun with fiddle" shop! His passion for what he does was tangible. He explained everything in great detail and his prices are beyond reasonable. If you need a string instrument.. this is the place to go!!

I am so thrilled we found Stephen and Shaker Violin. Walking in was so cool, floor to ceiling stringed instruments (and a beautiful river view lol). Stephen was very nice, and explained a bunch so that I had a better understanding (he repaired my childhood violin that has been untouched in decades so that my daughter can use it). His prices were very reasonable, and you can tell that he truly loves his work.

I didn’t think going in for a minor repair would be such a delightful experience. Stephan is such a delight. He helped me out and taught me a ton about cello maintenance I hadn’t been taught before. Learned a lot and I’m definitely going back to Shaker when need arises. And his shop is so cool! 10/10

Stephen has repaired my violin twice now for needed repairs. Both times the violin came back professionally repaired, cleaned and polished. It now sounds better than it ever did. He also replaced the hair on my bow. I can’t say enough about his work and really recommend him. His knowledge, expertise and encouragement to enjoy the instrument shows in his work.
