We’ve been going to Ace Hardware for decades. Many stores have changed their ways, and their atmosphere, but this particular Ace Hardware in Apache Junction is reminiscent of the old days. The clerks are knowledgeable, friendly older men who know so much about hardware, and attention to customers!
Employees are professional and knowledgeable. And not too proud to ask a fellow employee for help ! This store has an actual professional electrician employed within the staff. He has saved me a good deal of money over the years.
This is always a very pleasant store to visit! Everybody's so down home and welcoming. Eager to help! This is where I go for miscellaneous tools, uncommon fasteners, keys, drill bits etc. If they stay open, I'll keep a'comin'!! Cheers!
I'd like to take a moment to share how Tammy, Martin, and Charley from my Ace Hardware store (Ruggiero's) came together to save the day for me. On 10/09/25 we were about to get hit by tropical storms Priscilla & Raymond and I was running out of time to find sandbags to protect a portion of my home. I called and spoke to Tammy who immediately pulled the last 13, 50 lbs. sandbags for me. I didn't realize they were that big, but got to the business of loading them into the trunk of my car, as Ms. Tammy went to look for someone to come help me. Within minutes Martin arrived and began helping me! And almost immediately afterwards his co-worker Charley arrived. They were so nice, not at all put out by having to help this older lady, and before I knew it, they were done. The most amazing thing to me was how genuinely pleasant they were. There was nothing fake about their willingness to help me. Their willingness was 100% authentic! Ruggiero's Ace Hardware store has been my Ace Hardware Store since I moved to Apache Junction in 11/2020. Not only is it my Ace Hardware store, it's also one of my favorite places to visit and shop at. From the giant hairy desert scorpions tank by the black light flash lights, the giant fish tank with the super cool fish, the amazing free popcorn, the abundance of unique and fun gifts, cards and hardware products, to the best customer service from every associate that has ever helped me in the past 5 years, Ruggiero's Ace Hardware has figured out the "WOW" factor. They have figured out how to deliver 5 Star, "Completely Satisfied" customer service, day after day. It's not just lip service with them, it's simply how it's done there, at my hardware store. I've worked in the patient care and customer service industries for over 40 years, so I know a thing or two about this topic. From Store Manager Evelyn Pruss, Tammy, Martin, Charley, and Steve, who checks me out on a regular basis, along with the entire team, they make Ruggiero's a GREAT place to patron.
