I usually don’t leave reviews, but it seems to garner a response. At this point I am desperate. My story begins back in April when I called Republic to inform them of my husband’s passing. He handled all of the bills, so I was doing my due diligence. I was told to access the account online and pay accordingly via auto pay, which I did. In my state of mind I double paid before auto pay kicked in. A month or so after, for no apparent reason, Republic started returning payments, which, in turn set off a whole new set of problems because the so-called returns went to a closed credit card. I was told to access the account online and pay accordingly via auto pay, which I did. In my state of mind I double paid before auto pay kicked in. A month or so after, for no apparent reason, Republic started returning payments, which, in turn set off a whole new set of problems because the so-called returns went to a closed credit card. Call after call, I explained the situation and Republic supposedly “escalated “ my account for correction. About a month ago, I thought it was all straightened out after yet another long phone call to their customer service, yet yesterday when I called because our trash had not been picked up, I was told our service was cancelled. The kicker is I had just paid $83.00 on Oct 20 via autopay. The lady on the phone had absolutely no explanation as to why it was cancelled. Then she said because my husband was deceased they were going to need to start a “new service” in my name and charge me even more money. Why was this never mentioned in April! She then informed me that she was going to need to call me back with more details after lunch. I am still waiting on the call!
This company is very sorry they have deceitful employees that tells you one thing and come to find out it’s always changed. They tell you one day for the delivery of a trash cans but it never happens you ask for a supervisor, you never get itbut they always want your money they miss pick ups of trash cans. This is a sorry company.
Customer service is garbage. They will lie about property conditions to refuse service and truck drivers will complain and lie to avoid having to complete service. Senior supervisor Sandy is completely rude and disrespectful and will lie to avoid actually rectifying the problem. Expect delayed service, lazy drivers, and long wait times due to incompetent staff and be prepared to confirming the same information for 30mins before actually getting somewhere about an issue.
We used Republic Services for our business waste management under a three-year contract. As the contract neared its end, we called to cancel. At that time, their representative told us to wait until the contract officially ended before taking action. We followed their instructions and called back after the term expired — only to be told the contract had automatically renewed and we were now locked in for another term. They claimed we failed to provide the required 60-day written notice, which they never mentioned during our initial call. Now, we’re being forced to stay in a renewed contract we never agreed to, and the only way out is hiring... We used Republic Services for our business waste management under a three-year contract. Now, we’re being forced to stay in a renewed contract we never agreed to, and the only way out is hiring a lawyer — costing us even more money. Their customer service has been terrible throughout this process. This experience has been incredibly disappointing and costly. I strongly advise other businesses to avoid Republic Services. There’s a reason they have a 2.5-star rating. Consider using Waste Management or another provider with transparent policies and better support.
Unlike many, until now, I've had nothing but positive experiences with Republic. We recently moved and I have been attempting to move my service. I am not able to do this on the app due to our home being a new build on a new street that the app does not recognize. I have been calling since last Thursday to do this. (Today is Tuesday.). Each day I've called at least three times and never waited less than ten mins....at most, I've held 32 minutes with no answer. During two calls, I received a recording that said if I pressed one, they would call me when it came to my place in line. I did not receive a call either time. All I want to do i... This is so frustrating and I have so much more to do than hold for garbage pickup everyday for an endless amount of time. I am an understanding person, but if these lines are actually this busy, they need to hire more people to answer. This has been so irritating that if I had another option for a company to collect, I would definitely call them. However, this is only option and I'm so tired of holding!!!!!
