Julia scheduled the appointment on a Saturday. I asked for both the bathtub and the wall tiles to be reglazed. I hated the tiling from decades past, and the bathtub was epoxied in the past, very poorly, and was peeling apart. They use an acrylic urethane formula, not epoxy. Johnny was the professional who showed up. He was on time, and that is always the first sign that things will go well. He did not take a long lunch, or even walked away from the space. He was quiet as I had to go in and out of the apartment. He worked diligently the entire time. In total he was there for almost 10 hours. About 8 of those hours were spent prepping the surface: an acid wash, a cleaning, a thorough taping and protection phase, then finally the reglazing step and clean up. When you spend that much time on the preparation, you know that you'll have a great result. The results were terrific. Prime Bathtub and Tiles really delivered, restoring a very dated bathroom. The bathtub looks brand new. Beware that it will smell for a few days, so vent the place properly. Follow their instructions to a T. I used diluted Dawn in a spray bottle to clean the surfaces and vacuum any dust up every single day as per their instructions. I did not use the bathroom at all to give it a chance to fully cure, which was my instinct but I know that the bathroom can be used a day or two after. Regardless, don't hesitate to give this company your business. I asked a few companies in the Brooklyn/Queens area before I settled on Prime. There is a reason they have the most reviews on Google and Yelp, and they have almost no negative feedback. Thank you Prime Bathtub and Tiles Refinishing, I look forward to hiring you again.
