Went there looking for a handgun. As soon as I walked over to the case, some old man immediately appeared on the other side of the case. He just stood there staring at me. I'd take a step to the right, he'd take a step to the right. I'd take another step to the right, he'd take another step to the right...just standing directly in front of me, silently staring at me the entire time. Then when he finally wandered off, some kid with a raccoon on his shoulder came up behind me rambling on and on about which guns were "talking" to me. I finally left without buying anything. The whole experience was just creepy. Definitely won't be going back.

Clint at Planet Pawn helped me with scrap gold that I wanted to sell. I did my homework and did not take his offer immediately, but compared to 3 other local gold buyers. Clint gave me a DRAMATICALLY better offer for my gold than did a Richmond jeweler, a local coin shop, and Dan’s Pawn. The next best offer was only about 58% of what Clint offered. I highly recommend him as an honest businessman that can be trusted. FYI: Dan’s pawn offered me about 20% of what Clint offered at Planet Pawn. Clearly, Planet Pawn is the place to go!! This is my favorite pawn shop/gun store, they're easy to deal with and seem to have better prices than people who sell used stuff online anyways. I've bought everything from an electric guitar to a Supressor for a rifle, so it's textbook perfect Kentucky pawn shop to me

I went to Planet Pawn to look for a banjo. Knowing nothing about banjos, the salesman gave me a short lesson about how they differ from a guitar and how to get started. He did warn me that they are very loud, and because of this his wife told him that either he or his banjo had to leave. True to his warning, when I got home with a very decent banjo that I bought for a very good price, my wife listened to me play with it before she asked for the name of the man who sold it to me. Great stuff, great prices, and a wonderful staff. I'm happy I stopped by, even if my wife isn't.
