Really awesome store. I came here to buy a charger and ended up getting a great deal. I purchased an Apple battery pack for $30 — the original price was between $80–$100. I’m super satisfied with their customer service and willingness to negotiate. Highly recommend!
Their online hours say 11am-7pm on Sundays, but I called at 6:14pm to confirm and was told they close at 6:30pm. I arrived at 6:18pm and was told they're closed. False advertising and poor customer service. The representative that answered the phone could have easily said they were closed or closing now and I would not have wasted my time coming.
Let me preface this by stating that you can look across the numerous reviews I have posted on Google and see that I'm generally effusive with praise. That being said, there is little to praise here. My 12-year-old son's iPad had a broken digitizer (the glass screen that receives the touch inputs). The home button was working perfectly. It wasn't recessed or permanently depressed. I watched a few YouTube videos and decided this wasn't a job I wanted to do myself. One point that one of the YouTube repairers made was that the bracket for the home button had to be carefully replaced or it would result in a permanently compressed and unusable button. That sealed it for me. I was taking it in for repair.
I came to this establishment because it was closest to my home. I should have looked more closely at the reviews before I decided to leave my iPad for repair. I had called ahead the previous day and was quoted a flat price of $85 to repair the digitizer. They told me to say I was a phone customer when I came in the next day. I did so. My digitizer had a white border, they asked if I would accept one with a black border. I reluctantly agreed thinking that the color if the border was simply aesthetics. They told me to return in 30-40 minutes to pick up the iPad. When I returned, I turned it on, checked the home button once and left the the store.
The iPad sat in my climate controlled car as I drove one hour roundtrip to pick up my older son, then on the dining room table for another four hours because I wanted to make sure that all glued parts had a chance to harden and cure.
My son played with the iPad for 30 minutes and brought it back with a compressed home button. This is an iPad that he plays with and had played with for hours on end with no effect on the home button. So, I thought, "Wow, this is the exact problem the YouTube discussed." I resolved to return to the store, knowing that good customer service would dictate a repair without further charge.
I explained the problem and even told the gentleman about the YouTube video. He said," Ok, so you know everything. " He walked over to his work ststion with my iPad and casually said that I would be charged for fixing the problem he had created. I told him absolutely not. He claimed that he had given me a discount that he had never offered. I told him I would not pay for service for something they improperly repaired. He could give me the iPad back, and I would simply make a review and pay to get it repaired properly elsewhere.
This gentleman talked over me, interrupted me, argued with me, spoke to his colleague in their native language, which would have been perfectly fine if not done to exclude me from the conversation. When they saw that I was using my phone to get the interpretation of their conversation, they began to whisper and then stopped talking altogether.
In the end, I did get the ipad back with the home button repaired, at least for now. I fully don't expect the repair to hold. If I were you, I would take it your equipment to any other establishment. The only reason they changed their tune and decided to do the repair was because I said I would do a review. I am a woman of my word. Here is the review.
For reference, I am a 25-year veteran of the U. S. Air Force and a middle school educator of students whose native language is not English. I wouldn't recommend this establishment to anyone. The only reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is the speed of the repair and the begrudging compliance with my demand that they correct their error. They were rude, condescending, and disingenuous, not qualities I would want in a business I frequent, probably not ones you would want either.
1 week later: the screen is not responsive. Watch the video. Downgraded to 1 star. $85 for poor customer service and shoddy work.
Take your device to Ubreakfix in Largo instead. They may work slower, but the work is guaranteed for 1 year and the price is comparable.
I was very frustrated when I accidentally slammed my iPhone 12 Pro Max between the door of my car and it was severely damaged! I went to a couple of store and they advices me to get a new phone ! But thought of phone city and immediately stopped by and my frustration disappeared! After two days my phone was repaired and working just like a new one !
