I had a Vintage Omega ST166.0164 from around the early 70s recently restored by them, I was quoted 450 though I got it down to 400, it has some family history to it so I was okay with the price, it took 2 days for the work to be done. here I have sets of photos which shows the before and after pictures of the Dial, movement, and caseback plate. I opened it up to see what’s changed. First, the movement looks great, i’ve tested the accuracy and its about 10-12secs gain in 24hrs, nothing bad about that, the caseback plate seems to have some added etching on it, not sure what that’s about, but i’m okay with it. The dial on the other hand, I wish it wasn’t touched from the beginning, it seems some lacquer fell off in the restoration process, some markings are also erased like “swiss made” is now just “swiss”, the 26-29 second marker have also been removed along with some parts of the dial chipped off, overall i’m fine with it as long as it’s running well and accurate but I just wish the dial looked better.
Took my new Rolex 36mm Datejust in for an adjustment. Needed some links taken off. Walked in and it was nice quiet and cool. Parking was easy despite being right next to a Trader Joe's (normally difficult parking) Was greeted immediately and helped by Paul himself. I showed him my watch and he eyeballed exactly how many links and how to adjust the strap so it perfectly fit. It took less than 5 minutes. Super impressed. Will be bringing all my Rolex's to Pauls. If you have nice/high end watches and are super concerned about bringing them to a reputable matchmaker look no further. EDIT: There are a number of negative reviews below.... One... One of them is a literal lie. The reviewer claimed he did a deposit on Chrono24 and then said they sold the watch out from under him. As someone who has bought multiple Rolexes from Chrono24 that literally doesn't ever happen...placing the deposit locks it. The reviewer simply didn't have the money and then made the confusing choice of coming on here to lie. Some people need a hobby.
Hands down the best watch place I've ever encountered, Paul the owner and his son are very nice people, excellent customer service and a beautiful watch selection across the board. If you need a repair or just want to buy a very nice new watch this is your place to go!
