Amazing family run business. Very thoughtful and thorough. Replaced our beat up front door and back sliding patio door. They made it easy and painless. Don't look anywhere else if you want to immediately transform your home.
I purchased a door and there were some problems with moisture on the bottom of the door. The manufacturer would not help with replacing the door but Lisa stepped up and took care of it. They have installed two exterior doors and three storm doors and stood behind their installation and product. They have provided excellent customer service to us and I have actually ordered another storm for from them.
Northern Windows installed a ProVia Endure sliding glass door in our home. Product and installation were terrific!
Had a broken window and inside grid replaced. The inside grid did not match my other window next to it. The installer even confirmed with my wife it didn’t match and told me to call the owner Lisa. I sent her multiple pictures of it and even offered for her to come out. Which she wouldn’t. Her response was the sample matched in her office. That her installer was actually color blind and we shouldn’t listen to him. She would not do anything about it. Told me if my bill wasn’t paid she would assess late fees. When the glass was installed the guy who installed it got the adhesive caulk all over my window with finger prints all around it. I broug... Had a broken window and inside grid replaced. She told me they don’t clean their windows after installing them. Go get some mineral spirit. Do not use this company. They do poor quality work and do not stand behind their service. If something is wrong you will be left to deal with it.
Called Northern over a month ago and spoke to Lisa, she sent a guy to come out to look, he wasn't here 3 minutes (not even sure he had a ladder). Waited a week for a call back with estimate, no such call ever came. I called back and again spoke to Lisa, she said she was waiting on another contractor to quote her the cost to replace one of the fascia boards so she could build that into estimate. (Hmmm...2 different contractors. 1 to replace fascia board and another to wrap fascia boards and install gutters. Seemed a bit odd that a contractor who installs guttering could not replace a fascia board that he is going to wrap anyways.) This was on... I waited until the following Friday (2 days after she was suppose to have spoken with this other contractor) and it was the same song and dance about how she hadn't spoke with him, but asked that I give her to Monday and she would call me with estimate. This was over 2 weeks ago since I last spoke with Lisa. Note, that in every conversation I have had with them, I was the one who reached out to them. They said they would call back, but for me they have never called me back once. Based on that experience alone I would not ever hire them. If they are this hard to reach to sell you their product and service, can you imagine how difficult it would be if you were to ever encounter an issue with their product or installation. Have since called another company that just recently completed work on my street, about 10 houses down from me. They came out did a thorough job of measuring, actually got out a ladder and inspected (walked the entire parameter of my roof); went back to their vehicle and spent time to prepare an estimate for me on the spot. They emailed me the estimate promptly before leaving my residence and never approached me with any high-pressure sales tactics.
