Josh at the Nerd Barn is great. My Dell XPS PC crashed during a power outage and wouldn't turn back on. I replaced the power supply unit but found that wasn't the problem and knew this was above my basic knowledge. Josh helped me diagnose the issue and get the correct parts on order. Once they arrived he quickly replaced the motherboard and even thoroughly cleaned the internal components for a very fair price. Not only was my interaction with him great I was there to witness him help an elderly couple who had an issue with their home internet equipment. He was extremely patient and was made sure they understood how the technology worked and what they could do to get their problem resolved. Great service all around. For any tech repairs or issues I would strongly recommend Josh and the Nerd Barn team!

If I could give Josh/Nerd Barn 10 stars, I would. I stopped in expecting I would have to leave my laptop for repair (the charging cord broke off in the port on my laptop, needed that to be taken out and a new charging cord)...Josh did it on the spot AND he found the best charging cord for me on Ebay AND he loaned me a charging cord untill the one I ordered arrives AND charged me a totally unexpected reasonable price! By the way, he never even asked for my name, just a good, honest, knowledegable gentleman that trusts I will return the loaned cord. You REALLY don't see these kind of interactions these days. Thank you Josh and I will be back with the loaner cord as soon as my new one arrives.

I brought in my MSI workstation for damaged hinges and the case separating. I received it back unrepaired, covered in messy epoxy, more damaged than before, with the screen cracked and partially dead. You can compare the before and after in the photos I've attached. When I arrived to pick up my laptop, he could not locate it at all. I discovered it in the hallway floor outside his office, leaning against the desk. He proceeded to tell me that my TWO YEAR OLD laptop was "on its last legs anyway", no one could possibly repair it, and I should just give up on it. He did not apologize at any point. When I brought it to someone else for repair, we discovered he had plastic welded the screen to the casing. Parts of the case were broken off and missing. He told me the screen couldn't be replaced. Despite his assertions, I was able to take it to someone else who fixed the supposedly unfixable. The only good thing I can say about this company is that at least they paid for the repair work it needed after they got their hands on it.
