Helpful answers

Quick answers from this business profile.

How do I know if I need electrical repairs in Concord?
Most electrical problems signal themselves before emergencies. Flickering lights, breakers tripping frequently, warm outlets, or burning smells near panels indicate the need for electrical repairs. Sparks, scorch marks, or buzzing sounds require urgent attention.
What electrical services in Concord help improve safety at home?
Electrical safety inspections include checking panels, outlets, wiring, and protective devices. Services include installing GFCI and AFCI outlets, replacing circuit breakers, whole-home surge protection, and installing smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
Can I install an attic fan myself?
While DIY installation is possible, it is highly recommended to hire a licensed electrician to ensure proper installation compliant with local codes and correct sizing for the attic.
How high off the ground should an outdoor outlet be?
Most outdoor outlets are installed 1.5 to 2 feet (18 to 24 inches) off the ground to avoid dirt and water contamination, although the NEC allows outlets up to 6.5 feet above ground.
Do USB outlets need GFCI?
GFCI protection for USB outlets depends on location. It is generally required in areas with water presence such as bathrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms.

I showed him the entrance and he looked in the crawlspace for 10 seconds and then closed the door and went back to his truck and started wor...

Mr. Collins arrived promptly after I made a booking earlier today . Both he and I went through the tasks I needed to address and he went about giving me a price for the jobs to be completed. Once agreed, Mr. Collins went about his work in a diligent fashion and finished up work in a friendly manner, cleaning as he went. Many thanks.

Travis and his assistant installed a light (which we provided) and 2 small lights under our kitchen cabinets. The jobs were done very professionally, however, the bill was over $2000 which we find to be extremely high for a couple of hours work. I understand electricians charge a lot for a great service, but in comparison to other services, it seems way too high.
