I just stopped by to say thank you again to the wonderful employee who helped me right after the extremely rude and confused man whom was extremely passive-aggressive for disrespectful and snarky I just wanted to stop by and let you know that it was beyond impressive the way your demeanor and professionalism shined through when an incompetent individual was obviously going out of his way to attempt to win your favor, but when he could tell you were not interested not for any reason outside of professionalism aynd integrity did he go off the rails, and here is my feeble attempts to acknowledge not only your extremely grounded demeanor but your impeccable gorgeousness I mean this with the most respect thanks for letting me believe in humanity once again
The older lady with longer blonde hair at the checkout was extremely rude and rolled her eyes at me while I was checking out. In the middle of me giving my phone number she cut me off frustrated and told me it is supposed to be my number…which is what I was giving. Unnecessarily rude for the situation.
Nearly a mile away on a 100⁰ day, I left my truck in a parking lot. With little hope and a drawing of what remnants I had been able to salvage from my now broken and half missing throttle linkage, I walked to Eastgate Ace. When I walked in the door I first asked the woman at the register nearest myself if I might leave my backpack there with her for safe keeping while I embarked on my forlorn scavenger hunt. She cheerily showed me a space to do so and after assuring me she'd keep a sharp eye on it, thanked me for asking. In an interaction, a moment of many in both of our days, my mood and hope began to rekindle. Anyhow, I had determined in my walk that my best chance of repair was to purchase a piece of mild steel and hope that perhaps a tire shop I had passed along the way might be able to help me cut, drill, and bend the series of compound angles I would need to once again have a functional throttle. As I turned the corner towards the back aisles I encountered another employee. As I began to explain my predicament and concern of how I might be able to fabricate what I needed without any tools on hand, Cole told me that though their location no longer had the tools in the back they once did he would do his best to see what he might do to help me. Cole not only went above and beyond to completely fabricate the part I needed but kept a great conversation through out. When I entered the building I had no hope and no plan and when I left I felt to have both in surplus. After a bit of finagling, a few cursed words, and a couple bloody knuckles; my truck was road ready and likely better off than before. Cole is a champ and needs more tools!
