Magnolia Plumbing Company

Two weeks ago my socks got wet after walking down the hallway. I figured I had a leak somewhere in the plumbing so I checked the bathrooms and bedrooms. No luck. I went out to the water meter and shut off the main water valve to the house. At this point I figured I had the worse case scenario… a leak under the slab. I did some research on plumbing companies in the Memphis area and finally settled on Magnolia Plumbing. Sometimes you’re lucky and others, you are very lucky. Magnolia Plumbing is without a doubt, one of the most professional companies I have ever contracted. From beginning to end they made what I thought was a worst case scenario very manageable. My first phone call to Magnolia set the tone. The person I spoke with over the phone was professional, knowledgeable, well spoken, and had me on their schedule the following day. I got lucky once again, one of Magnolia’s plumbers was finishing up a job just minutes after my initial phone call. When John arrived at my home and introduced himself, my first thought was that I was speaking to a DJ. 😂 Once again, professional. John stepped inside, placed covers on his boots, and quickly went to work trying to determine the source of the leak. 15 minutes later, John was pretty sure which pipe was leaking. At that point, he gave me two options. The first was to cut through the slab, which would definitely make a mess. The second option was to cap the leaking line and then build a new line that would travel through the attic to its destination outside. Although creating a new line was going to place the majority of the expense on myself rather than my insurance company, I went with the second option. Cutting through a slab to repair a leaking pipe that may later leak from another point, seemed like a bad plan. Repairs were scheduled to start two days later. Magnolia’s crew arrived as scheduled on time and completed all repairs on the same day. Because they were able to cap the leaking line from one of the closets, there was no evidence that Magnolia plumbing had ever been in my house. I don’t know that I’ve ever experienced such a professional and thoughtful crew. You would think this is where my review ends. Once the repairs were complete I received a call from John with a breakdown of the work that was completed. As there were no surprises, the cost for repairs was exactly what John had quoted a few days earlier. I asked that he break down the job description so that I could send that to my insurance company. He in turn asked for the contact information to my insurance company. He wanted to explain to my insurance company how much money they had saved by my decision to not drill into the slab. A few days later, I was surprised when the insurance adjuster wrote a check for the entire repair cost. Thank you Magnolia Plumbing, and a special thanks to John.
