Believe the 1 star reviews! The owner, Loretta is terrible. Dropped off my wedding ring to be cleaned and have prongs fixed. I could see prongs needing repair with my naked eye. A few weeks after my husband picked up my ring, i noticed the repair was not done at all. I called Loretta, who said, well, did you talk to the jeweler? Hey, lady, you're the one who owns the place, customers don't talk to Philip, in the back! Terrible service. Avoid this place if you care about your jewelry and your money.
I had brought my ankle bracelet to be repaired. The end of my bracelet had extra links, originally. When I got my anklet back, the extra links were gone!! When I asked for my gold they said I didn’t need it. I told them I wanted the pieces and they said they fixed the broken anklet. I paid for my gold and I would prefer to get it back the way it was originally made. I felt bombarded by the two people and left. But now I’m here writing my review
I rarely write reviews but I'm so disappointed with my experience here that I felt I had to. I came in for a simple battery replacement for my watch. I had a pleasant conversation with the woman who worked there (presumably Loretta) while the man quickly replaced my battery in the back of the store. Everything worked well and I left the store satisfied. Fast forward several months and my watch suddenly started running very fast. I figured that it couldn't be the battery since I had it replaced only months before. Thinking that some part of the watch mechanism had broken, I brought it into a watch repair store. The owner opened it up right in front of me, looked at it for just a few seconds and asked me who had replaced the battery for me. It turns out that the man at Loretta's had used the wrong size battery. It didn't fit into the slot correctly. It was too thin and was able to move about freely within the slot. It's amazing that it worked for the few months that it did. He then put in the correct sized battery and it fit like a glove and my watch now works perfectly again. I can't speak for Loretta's work with jewelry but I would stay clear of this store for anything having to do with watches. I would have no confidence that they could repair a watch given that they couldn't even do a simple battery replacement correctly.
