Lindemann Chimney Heating & Cooling

We recently had our electronic fireplace serviced & cleaned by Lindemann Chimney Heating & Cooling. The serviceman, Vincenzo Baldoni (Vinny), was excellent. He knew precisely what to do to get our charming fireplace working like new. He took the time to carefully and fully clean the entire structure, leaving it looking like new. Vinny is also very personable and a pleasure to have in our home, in which we take great pride. We have always been pleased with the work done by Lindemann.

This review is a couple of months later than it should be, but we wanted to experience the chimney repair fully so that we could write a fair and complete review. This past fall when having our chimney cleaned it was discovered that the clay tiles in the liner were breaking and we needed a new liner. The company who discovered the problem quoted a high estimate for a new liner but said that they would not even give us a copy of the quote because they were not sure they could (wanted?) to do the repair because we have solar panels on the roof and the chimney is close to power lines. We got a second quote that had no concerns about the panels or lines but seemed a bit open-ended for the cost of the repair. Lindemann Chimney came out and estimated the job. They expressed no concern about the panels or lines and pointed out two additional things that needed to be done in order to make the repair complete. The cost of the new liner was high, and while Lindemann's estimate was in the middle of the three, it included the two additional repairs not listed on the other quotes. They indicated that the parts needed would not take long to get and the job would probably take about a day and a half. Lindemann's communication up to the job regarding parts and scheduling the work was excellent. Via calls, texts, and messages they let us know exactly how things were progressing. On the day of the repair three technicians arrived and first off determined the best route inside the house to work from, not for the ease of the job, but for the cleanliness of the house, They tarped off any furniture they did not move and on the floors on the path they would use. They sealed the fireplace and installed a dust vacuum in the fireplace before they did any other work. Once they were confident that their work would cause as little dust and dirt as possible they went on to repair the flue and the fire box, the two parts of the jobs not quoted by the others. After ensuring that everything was in good shape they went about knocking out the dirty part of the job, the clay tiles which fell into the sealed fireplace. They removed the tiles on the tarped path in such a way that our family was actually able to sit in another room without a problem. Once the old was removed they installed a new liner. Never mentioned the solar panels, and when asked about them, they stated it was simply part of the job in the "solar era." They secured the liner and said they would return the next day to "clean up" the repair. They came back exactly when promised the next day and got the liner fitted, cut, and the cap installed. It seems odd to say but, from the outside of the house, the chimney looks even better than when they arrived. They informed us of a 12 month same as cash plan we could use if we wanted, and asked if there were any concerns we had before they left. They office followed up a couple of days later to make sure everything went as we hoped. Professional, friendly, and fully aware of our needs the whole job is what we said. We've waited a bit before writing this review because we wanted to make sure we had a few fires before recommending Lindemann. We have had more than a few, we've taken advantage of the 12 month same as cash option, and simply couldn't be happier. We intend to use Lindemann for all out chimney and fireplace needs in the future. They were straight-forward in their evaluation, honest and complete in their quote, their technicians were both professional and friendly, and Lindemann placed our needs and concerns first throughout the entire process. This was a project we knew nothing about so we could have easily been taken advantage of. With Lindemann we were so very impressed with everything they did with and for us and with our fireplace and chimney. We recommend them with enthusiasm.

We are incredibly grateful for the experience and couldn’t be happier with the results. The best. We did our due diligence and got quotes from several chimney services. Our old wood burner needed a lot of work. Some came in higher, some came in lower. We chose Lindemann because the service and professionalism was unparalleled.
