I have used Lake Appliance Repair twice now and have had nothing but positive experience. Excellent communication and transparency. The service tech was punctual, professional and very kind.
Dean came by today and checked out my fridge. Identified the issue. Unfortunately, it probably makes sense to replace the fridge, but he had very good customer service.
Tech came out plugged dishwasher in and basically told me nothing was wrong and we weren't running the dishwasher correctly. He told me to run the dishwasher with different level of soap and do a different setting etc. I told him we have tried all the settings and it only runs half the time. I followed his directions exactly and I told him this is not the fix, there something wrong with it. 3 hours later I sent a text and email with pictures of the dishwasher after the wash which did not work. They eventually responded to me days later telling me I have to contact GE about the issue and wanted no part of fixing the issue. I would not r... Incompetent people that need to be told the same thing over and over. Then sit on it for two weeks before providing the same boiler plate responses. Plan to deal with this in court now. Edit: the reply was provided by someone unaffiliated with Lake Appliance, as confirmed by their customer support team. They utilize a third party for responses. If a professional company can only rely on “error” codes, as opposed to a physical inspection to diagnose a simple spring issue, that says more about them than their customers. The response from them is either an attempt to lie or a statement without full knowledge of the situation. That’s who you are hiring to work on your products. Stay away.
I want to give a shout-out to both the company and Dean, the technician who came out for a service call on our washer this morning. Lake Appliance is so easy to do business with and it's much appreciated. The website is easy to maneuver to find what's needed, and to make an appointment online was a snap! We were able to schedule a visit in less than a week. Dean was so knowledgeable and personable, and couldn't have been more thorough. We didn't opt for the repair and unfortunately will need to purchase a new washer, but Dean's experience and recommendations were so helpful. He even checked our current kitchen appliances to see if he detected any issues - over and above for sure!! We will definitely contact Lake again for any service we may need in the future. Please commend Dean for his excellent work!!
