JML Construction Roofing/Siding and more

Jim and his team did a lot of high-quality work on my home. I hired him for multiple projects, and for a long time things went very well — his craftsmanship is excellent and his attention to detail really shows. I was planning to have him continue helping with other parts of my property. Unfortunately, toward the end of the contract things changed. When it came time to work on my garage, I had several valuable vintage cars stored inside. Because I live on a busy road, I couldn’t safely move all of them immediately. Instead of working through that challenge with me, communication broke down, and both he and his crew became increasingly short-tempered and displayed micro aggression toward me and my family. At that point, I decided I didn’t feel comfortable continuing the relationship. I offered to settle up and hire someone else to finish the remaining work. During that period, there were multiple delays and reschedules because of staffing issues. A week later, he and a family member came to my home unannounced and acted in a threatening manner. With Jim ultimately threatening to harm me if I didn’t pay him. Thankfully, I was able to de-escalate the situation against my own will, pay what was owed, and end the project — but the experience left a very negative impression. While I don’t want to take away from the quality of his craftsmanship, I can’t overlook the way things ended. The job was left incomplete after payment, and the level of aggression toward my family was unacceptable. I’m not calling him a racist, but as a Black homeowner I can’t ignore how differently I felt treated compared to what I’ve read in other reviews. I hope this was just a bad experience for both sides, but it’s important for potential clients to know what happened so they can make an informed decision.

JML Construction did my roof and siding job on my house. When I was looking for someone online, I choose them because of their reviews other homeowners gave them. And I must say they were not only right, but JML Construction blew MY expectations away. From the start, always there to help with any questions I had, samples or colors. Amazing job is an understatement for these guys, they were so hard working, knowledgeable about their work and EXTREMELY detailed. For example, there was an issue with the siding that came from the factory, it had tiny imperfections. I truly I did not see it, but they did. They went through EVERY single piece and contacted the factory to replace the defected ones. They did absolutely amazing job on my house, and I am so happy I choose them to do it. If you are homeowner and looking for a company, this is the company you want to call. I know through this pandemic they are very busy, but they are so worth the wait. Not only I HIGHLY recommend them but after seeing how amazing they are I will be using them for other projects in the near future.
