JCB Roofing Company

Estimator was scheduled to show up at 1pm but called at 0830 stating he would be there at 0830. I stated that our appointment was at 1pm. He immediately said his company had him running all over the area and he needed to be there at 0830. I didn’t believe him. Once at the house he wanted to sell an entire roof job and not the roof patch we requested an estimate for. I know that we need an entire roof but could not afford it at the time and need a patch. He said they could not help us, which is fine. I gave his business card back to him. There are too many good roofing companies with good people to work with to do business with this company.

In February of 2020, I had a couple valleys that were leaking and had JCB do the repair work. The initial repair did not fix the leaks. The 2nd time out they fixed the leaks. The two-man crew that came out left the gutters full of nails and shingles, which I removed. My issue though is the unsightly amount of caulk or silicone they used. I voiced my concerns and someone from management came out, inspected the work, and agreed with me that the amount of caulk used was not normal. So I had a 3rd visit in 2023, but the caulk is still there and I believe they even added more. They stated this was due to the flashing being too short? No one ever followed up with me. I will say, they were always on time and good with communication and they fixed some nail holes that were on the roof that were there before they did any work. Maybe they’re good with new construction, but I wouldn’t use them again in the future or recommend them.
