James Sanders Nursery takes excellent care of our lawns, landscaping and who I use for Spring, fall & Winter clean-ups! The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, always willing to help me keep our lawn looking good. They are expert in landscape design and currently working on a new project for me at new construction. I highly recommend Crysal and her crew for any job you may have.
I hired them to do some landscaping in spring time. Come fall, half of the plants had died. They came out and replced them under warrantee. They planted the hasta with roots exposed and so shallow that the mulch was level with the plants. Come spring, 80-90 percent of those plants had died. They told me that the plants werent going to make it because they planted them right in the clay without priperly mixing in soul and amending it. I spent the next 3 months leaving messages that were never returned to get them to address this. I finally got ahold of somone who agreed to refund me the plant cost but none of the 4k i paid for labor. Fine, i just want closure at this point. I am now on week 3 of trying to get that refund. So they basically took $4500 of my money and what i got out of this is a whole lot of labor for me to fix this myself. Sanders used to have a good reputation and name. They were recomended to me by a lot of people. That is no longer the case.
When they read this post the company will know who I am. 1st I called and did get an apology but I don’t feel it was warm hearted and I hung up feeling that they still didn’t understand that rudeness is still not acceptable. Ok to my story. I wanted a shade plant. “Hellebores” I called several stores to find them. Sanders stated they had them for a reasonably price $15 each gallon also the color they had was tropical sunset. I needed 10 - 12 So I made arrangements to drive up. I live an hour away. I couldn’t drive up that week so I waited for the next. I called a 2nd time to ensure they had them. So I arrive. 2 people at the counter. 1 gave me instructions where to look. I went to look with no luck. I found someone in the back and asked. I even brought the picture up on my phone showing him the flowers and name. Then I was told they didn’t have them. I went back to the office. When they looked them up again they agreed they didn’t have them. After I mentioned I’d called and what I was told me they only heard the name “tropical” and told me to look in the tropical section. Its then I became frustrated when I said would you listen. They are NOT tropical that is ONLY the name of the color. Then they took the time to look for them and I asked them too find them for me. Finally they were found and not in the original area they had mentioned. Once purchased with a 3%charged on a debit card. Who carries $200 in cash in there pocket these days? I asked for help to load them. No comment back. I asked a second time again no answer. So I had to load them myself and I’m handicapped. Service is horrible along with rudeness. If they had apologized they were short handed and could not leave the counter alone I would have understood.
This company values your business. Their service is very good their warranty service is second to none. When it’s time to buy a new mower this will be the first place that I consider!
