Jack's Glass

I hired jack's glass for a home window install several years ago, and they sold me two panes of glass when I actually needed an entire new doorframe/entryway. Approximately 12 months after the contractors installed new glass, I had moisture build up on the inside of my windows, so I paid a large deductible to have it replaced under warranty. This was a reoccurring issue, and when a contractor was here last summer to take measurements for the 3rd replacement he informed me that the continuous moisture was from a busted seal inside my glass, and it was due to my warped entryway. The contractors who did the install failed ro mention that I needed a new entryway, and proceeded to install glass into a warped door frame. Now I'm dealing with major issues, and Jack's Glass isn't doing anything because I'm out of my warranty period. Had the job been done correctly the first time I would not be writing this review. I posted a negative review online last year, and Drew, the owner, called me at home and asked me to take it down, but after looking at this disaster day after day, and having to fork out more money to correct their negligence, this review will remain, no matter who calls or writes back. I recommend hiring a company who has their own professionally trained installers over Jack's Glass who uses general contractors.

Had them replace my windshield and now the rain sensor is not working. When asked about it, they acted like it was something they "accidentally" turned off. No, it's not. My car was dropped off with a working rain sensor and when I received it back it is now not working. That is 100% on them. Definitely something that should have been checked before completing the work order. Zero effort to try to resolve the issue. Now i'm going to have take even more time off work because I guess none of those vans they have there can be driven to my location to fix something they broke.

I had a very bad experience with Jack's Glass in Elsemere, Ky. They installed a windshield in my 2005 Dodge Neon Srt-4 and within two days it was leaking rain water into the driver's side A-pillar. I took the car back to them and the technician informed me that there was some rust on the windshield frame and that's why it was leaking. He removed the driver's side A-Pillar and applied sealant to the windshield from inside of the car. Anyone with any common knowledge knows that this is a big no no and will just divert the water. I drove the car home and it broke down a couple days later. It was down for repairs for almost a year. Once I was able to drive my car again I found that rain water was still leaking into my car. This time it was from both sides. I contacted Jack's Glass about the issue and asked about a warranty. Keep in mind that I paid out of pocket, this was not an insurance claim. I was informed that there was no warranty. I was also informed that pictures of the rust under the windshield had been taken and shown to me and that they keep very detailed records. I was never shown any pictures because there aren't any. I scheduled an appointment to have the windshield replaced once more by Jack's Glass, which I canceled after deciding to replace the windshield myself. I removed the windshield without damaging it. Can you guess what I found??? No rust whatsoever. I cleaned off the old sealant, applied a new bead of polyurethane and placed the windshield back into place. I allowed the sealant to cure for 24 hrs. It's now been raining for days and there is no longer any water leaking into my car. I cannot believe that I was lied to and treated this way by what is supposed to be a well known, reputable and trusted business. I installed a windshield better than the professionals lol? Really? I advise anyone needing a windshield replacement to look elsewhere, as the quality of work at Jack's Glass is not acceptable. Thank you and I hope this review helps someone.
