Be Leary on their roofing if warranty by “duracoat” They advertise 30 yr warranty. It’s been 10 yrs for us and paint is peeling. They denied our claim stating does not warrant for “organic material”. What? Does not mention this in their warranty. Organic material. That’s nature.
Very nice store. Great selection and wide variety of goods. I so wanted to do business there. Researched places to buy koa wood while on a cruise around the islands. Called the store as we arrived in Hilo to confirm koa inventory. Arrived and was pleasantly surprised by the inventory - many nice pieces to choose from. Located in a back corner of the store, I chose a board and then looked for an employee to help me in getting the board cut into pieces I could pack in luggage. No joy. I was prepared to buy a $70 piece of koa yet no one would make two cuts in a 1x4 board! I should have purchased a handsaw, used it in the parking lot, and then returned the damn saw! Rather shortsighted, in my opinion.
Great local hardware and home improvement store. Sure, sometimes it's more expensive than the "big stores," but I've have always found the help that I need and none of the frustration. Lumber selection is extraordinary, and there's a design center attached for remodel or new build help. You can even buy a house here if you want. Truly exceptional. Always shop here first.
