Questions & answers

Helpful answers

Quick answers from this business profile.

Do electric fireplaces give off any heat?
Most electric fireplaces come standard with a heater providing 3,000 to 9,200 BTU’s, warming an area of 250 to 700 square feet. They can also operate with flame only for year-round use.
What are the options for switching from a wood burning fireplace?
Options include installing a wood, pellet, or gas insert to make the existing wood fireplace more efficient, a gas log set that replicates the look of a wood fire, or installing an electric fireplace into the existing opening.
Is it safe to put a TV above the fireplace?
It is recommended to use a mantel between the fireplace and television or recess the television in a niche set back from the fireplace. Adding a fan kit to move heat away from the fireplace into the room is also suggested.

I had an amazing experience with this company! They replaced my wood-burning fireplace with a new electric fireplace, and the entire process was smooth, professional, and high-quality from start to finish. The team was knowledgeable, efficient, and clearly took pride in their work. The final result looks fantastic. Their pricing was very fair, and I genuinely feel like I received great value for the service provided. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade or replace their fireplace. Truly outstanding work!

Very happy with the service I received. My 25-year-old fireplace needed a little TLC. I called Hearth and Home to schedule an appointment. The individual that showed up was very professional and respectful of my property. He took a look at the fireplace, told me what was wrong, what parts would be needed and most of all, why they would be needed. He then created a quote and asked for my business. It took a couple of weeks for the part to come in due to the age of the fireplace and they were out the same week to get it it running again. Very pleased with the whole process.

Home and Hearth did a wonderful job replacing our gas fireplace! The two man crew was very courteous and answered my many questions. They completely cleaned up after themselves and left us with a great looking fireplace! Would highly recommend!

Had a burning/ gassy smell to our fireplace so I called and got an appointment set up in a relatively timely manner. Staff that came was very kind and professional and they were able to tell quickly that there were no leaks, just that our set up might have been the problem (which was done by previous home-owners). It was a quick job, but not so quick that I felt like an agenda item to be crossed off. The only reason I don't have 5 stars is because it felt a little pricey to have nothing done, but I have not compared around either and I do understand their time is valuable. I do have a better idea of how to tell if a smell is an actual problem...
