Mike and Vinny were amazing!! This is the second time I had to call them, because the original person I hired completely botched the job. They do small repairs, as well as major renovations. Seeing their work makes me wish I just went to them directly.
Overall, they are professional, courteous, and have fair pricing. I found them through a referral from a friend, and they have been reliable and available. They are local, have been in business for a long time, and they are trustworthy. Trust the pros, and thanks again for everything!!
This review is long overdue. Mike & his crew just completed another fantastic job for me. Been using him for about 15 years now. Built a walk-in closet for me, a new laundry room, a new finished basement, redid an entry way, put in doors and most importantly fixed a basement foundation leak from the outside and a leak from my chimney (the picture on his site). Big jobs, small 1 day jobs, doesn’t matter, I’ve always gotten top notch professional service, from the estimates right to the completion. Great work at very reasonable prices. Can’t say enough good things about Mike & Vinny’s work
I spoke to Mike on the phone and was given an estimate for $800 so I agreed, he came over to look at the work (a bathroom surround) he said $900 plus $100 for supplies, again I agreed, when he was finished he asked for $1100 plus $100 for supplies I agreed just to get rid of him! Just because the work was harder than you thought DOSEN'T mean you could charge more. 1 day later my bathroom is leaking water into my walls. DO yourself a favor and DON'T use him
We have been using this company for many years and I can’t express how wonderful each and every experience has been. We have used them for several different types of jobs….everything from replacing attic stairs to renovating my WHOLE house from top to bottom! They are the kindest, and most reliable and professional company I have ever dealt with. You won’t be sorry!
My house is over 100 years old and the wood panels on the enclosed front porch were warped beyond repair. Every contractor who looked at the job told me the only solution was to rip everything out and install all new windows, etc. but that meant I would lose the vintage charm of the porch. Thank goodness I met Mike from Handyman For You. Mike was honest and told me, like the others, that truthfully the RIGHT way to do this would be to rip everything out BUT, since he saw how much I wanted to keep my old windows and stained glass, he had an idea that would be “the least harmful wrong way to do it!” Mike told me about all the things that could possibly go wrong, like perhaps the glass cracking when the house was jacked up, or finding more rotted wood when he took out the panels, and I appreciated his honesty. I also appreciated his sense of humor - he told me that if I wanted to proceed, I would have to trust him the way people trust their doctor – when he “opened up” the wood, it would be like going in for surgery! Long story short, Mike and his great crew (Vinny and Danny) did a beautiful job, and they were so careful and methodical in their work that not a single glass panel cracked. The end result is beautiful, far beyond my expectations of what it would look like. I highly recommend Mike and his ”Handyman For You” crew; they take pride in their work and it shows.
