Hammer Design Build Remodel

We had a good experience working with Hammer through a large, complex remodel of our home. Hammer worked collaboratively across their teams from beginning to end: from concept and preliminary pricing, design, documentation, permitting, and all the way through construction. Because of their integrated approach they were able to quickly address issues as they arose and kept us fully informed all along the way. Additionally, Hammer led our project with a commitment to quality and doing the right thing. I recommend Hammer for all of these reasons.

A friend referred me to Hammer (Greg). This friend did a whole house remodel with Hammer and was pleased beyond expectations. They found Hammer after they parted ways with the previous Design/build firm who was doing a poor job. Their house turned out amazingly and it has been in at least one interior design magazine. I was interested in getting Hammer to weigh in on some interior changes to a house we were considering buying. Greg was very upfront in that Hammer is not licensed in Virginia. After that he not only recommended other firms but he spent 40 minutes on the call with me to educate me, give me pointers on what to ask/ascertain. Most importantly he gave me some high level pricing guidance with minimal input from me. The time Greg spent with me was extremely worthwhile. I'd use Hammer for sure given the opportunity. Highly recommend. Hammer designed and built a beautiful new kitchen in my 110+ y.o. apartment. The construction crew was professional, courteous, always on time and quiet--my neighbors had ZERO complaints. My project manager, Victor Alcantara, was highly responsive and very helpful in providing options and explanations to resolve surprises that arose during the construction process (in a century -old building, there are lots of complications.) The crew left my apartment clean and in great condition at the end of the project.

We recently were looking to build an addition to our single family home to build an in-law suite. After multiple meetings, we decided on Hammer Contractors for this addition. Hammer Contractors were very professional and patient with our multiple questions and needs. Everyone we worked with were friendly, knowledgeable and an expert in the field. We worked with their design specialist to create the best design with the space available. The account/sales manager was very patient and provided all details and help needed on our project. The project manager communicated with us the entire time and ensured the project stayed on track as best as possible. The craftsmanship was top notch and everything was done as described in our plan. We finished the project and our in-laws have moved in and started using the space with great happiness. For our next project, we will only need to call one company, Hammer Contractors for any and all needs with our home.
