Garrett Tires & Treads

Firstly, I will say the guys in there are really nice and respectful. However, I was really disappointed with my experience. I brought a tire in on Monday to see if it could be patched or if it needed to be replace. My husband seen the holes the day he had to change the tire and knew exactly where they were. When I brought it in there was only a short wait and they said they could patch it. No problem - came back later to pick it up, came home, my husband put it back on that evening around 7. The next morning I met my husband at Nebraska Western Bank, and that tire was already low. I made it to a Dr appointment but by the time I got out it was too low to drive on so he had to leave work and bring his compressor to air it up for me so I could make it back to Garrett's. When I told them what happened they were apologetic and said they would fix it. However, after some time, they came back and said it couldn't be patched and that those holes weren't there the day before, which seemed like a cop out. My husband knew exactly where to check for the holes- they were always the ones in question. The whole point of asking IF it could be patched or not was because we knew it was close to the side wall. You could see the goop from whatever sealant they put on the bead coming out of the hole which couldn't happen unless the hole was there the day the put on the sealant because the sealant hardens and stops running. Anyway, really nice guys, but maybe young inexperienced techs working? Im not sure. They did give me a refund but overall really disappointing experience.

It’s been a day!!! The gentlemen who work here at the North Platte store are always courteous, over and above willing to help me make the best decisions concerning my vehicle, have never charged me for anything that wasn’t requested or required, and have aways been so professional with every customer I have seen them interact with! Today, on a day that was filled with crazy, Garrett Tire and their team made it so much less stressful! First thing, I had an appointment. Got here at 8 am. 8:04 actually 😊. Needed tire rotation, oil change and air filter change. One hour later I’m headed home! Shane, Ty and Don were considerate of my time and they also have great coffee! Drive home, and a few hours later had to do errands. As I am driving, my battery light comes on. I pull over, call Garrett’s and Ty tells me to bring it right in. Turns out I need a new alternator, and a radiator hose. Those were ordered immediately, delivered and Rob got busy making my car safe to drive! I would trust this team of mechanics with my vehicle every time, I already do, and I encourage anyone with a car issue to stop in to Garrett’s Tire in North Platte!!
