Horrible service. Went in to ask for a used dslr. Older man looked at me up and down and said we dont have any i said what about used Canon ones. He handed me one and rolled his eyes and walked away like he doesn’t have time to talk to me. Horrible and will never buy anything there
My husband and I came in to take our passport photos, which went very well. We are pleased with our photos. When I got home to start my passport renewal process, I realized I needed a digital copy of my photo instead of the physical copies I paid for. I called the store asking if they could email me a copy of my own pictures which I had already paid for earlier that day. The sales associate on the phone quoted me $30, which is on top of the $30 we already paid for our physical copies. When I pushed back asked for it via email instead of on a drive, he said it would cost me an additional $20 plus tax, arguing that I’m asking for a completely different service. I will cede that it is an additional service but these photos already exist and the labor and time it takes to send us a digital copy cannot possibly “cost” the business anything; id be happy to pay for the labor and time to email me my own pictures but a 60% additional fee for a digital copy seems unreasonably high. Beyond that, at Walgreens, a digital version is provided for free alongside a physical copy. I specifically chose to go to a small business to have my photo taken because I wanted to support a small business rather than to go to Walgreens. But to charge me $20 additional for a digital copy is unreasonable. I find this practice honestly just unscrupulous.
Rented a 200-500m ED lens for my Nikon D-850 the past weekend to snap pics of elephant seals at Ano Nuevo State Park. Great price, great lens, great experience with Fireside's staff. When I rented I brought along my d850 to make sure the system worked well and the staff were extremely helpful about caring for the lens and how to get the best snaps. The advice paid off and I'm very happy with the pics. Fireside deserves a lot of credit: Nikon wants DSLR owners to upgrade to the Z-series, but I'm one of the many hold outs. Thanks to Fireside, I can rent compatible lenses and continue to get value from my D850 (I've included some snaps from this weekend's photo safari). Thank you Fireside !
I just received my mother's point and shoot camera. I could not find any booklet to show how to use the camera. The gentlemen whom I have seen before helped me not only load the battery and guided me which film to use. It's been a while to know how to load it. Now I am all set and ready to practice. This location has been here for years, and they know everything about cameras. They also have a place where they can process our photos. Thank you!
