Fireplace Place Of Summit

Please, Please, Please proceed with caution(Take note of the multiple bad reviews of this place. Don’t make the mistake of buying a fireplace from here or better yet having them install anything). Co-owner(Dennis) of the Fireplace Place appears to have a long history in the business and a fair understanding of the fireplace market. This is where it ends unfortunately! They lack honesty and customer service(Will constantly lie to you telling you reason after reason why your fireplace isn’t ready for install 5 months later?). The reality is they can appear to hold on to employees thus affecting reliable customer service and installation on the back end. Do not agree to give a deposit to this company. Once you do that’s when the games begin(Delays, lies and consistent repetitive comments from the owners -“ I’m sorry for the 5 month delay but I’m doing the best I can”. Really??? Stay away if you truly respect your time and sanity. If you need to purchase a fireplace near the Summit NJ area, consider visiting the Fireplace Centre literally around the corner on Summit Ave(Wish I had done it sooner). Much better selection, service and honesty-Hands down! At minimum before you decide to make your FP purchase visit both competing stores and see for yourself!

Totally professional from the moment I walked in to the shop to inquire about adding a gas, stand alone fireplace on our sunporch to make it a year around room. Dennis and Gus helped me find the type of unit I was looking for and Dennis was able to give me a rough estimate right then. After checking out the job, the Avalon Cypress was ordered and a few weeks later, John and his incredible team installed a gas line and the vented unit, taking care of inspection appointments and permit. Clean, fantastic job! My wife and I could not be happier. I have never looked so forward to winter! Much thanks to you all, gentlemen.

These guys impressed me. The owner is on top of his game in my opinion. He's certainly has a lot of business, by the number of calls his staff was taking. He seemed to be able to handle it all with courtesy and a smile. He still had time for me, and answered my questions well. His prices were reasonable, with no surprises. His installation crew was surprisingly neat and clean. They are a registered Home Improvement contractor, and use a Licensed Electrician to do their electrical hook up. That gave me peace of mind. I would certainly recommend them to my friends.
