Excellent service for a vacuum repair. Friendly, courteous, professional, efficient. Vacuum is good as new.
We are in love with this vacuum cleaner it's amazing how well it works with 2 cats and 2 bigger dogs in a small apartment we just wanted to say thank you to Brandon for helping us out with this sale and a every special thank you to Duluth vacuum company for a healthy cleaner home for us.
Brandon was an incredible salesman, he was very knowledgeable and not pushy. The showroom is great and can try the different models right there. I purchased the Sebo Onyx D4, was leary on choosing a different model as I previously had a Renaissance Electrolux since 1997 and hoped to find one comparable. The Sebo Onyx D4 blew it out of the water! The extra attachments included are amazing and this thing has major power. It was built to perfection!
Update: This is an update to a previous post. The owner of Duluth Vacuum Company did reach out to me and apologized for the lack of proper information regarding their ability to service Dyson products. He explained that they are not an official Dyson repair, and as such, do not go through Dyson's warranty. I think this is helpful information for the workers to be up front about from the beginning. It was kind of him to reach out and he also refunded my bench costs. I have updated to 3 stars because they still omitted that useful information up front, but were good enough to reach out and apologize. I do think they sell quality vacuums so would likely be a good spot to shop for those interested in non-Dyson vacuums. ----------------------------------------------------------- Original post: I would avoid taking a Dyson here for repair. I had high hopes for Duluth vacuum after all of the raving reviews. However, I was given inaccurate information and feel like they were more interested in selling me a new, more expensive vacuum than fixing my current issue. TLDR: 1. They did not mention corded Dyson vacuums have a free 5 year warranty and would have charged me for replacement parts that are free from Dyson. 2. They falsely told me there was no available replacement part for my Dyson Ball Animal 2 Vacuum. I contacted Dyson and they do in fact still make the part and sent it to me for free. Full: I took my Dyson Ball Animal 2 Vacuum in for repair because the rollers were no longer working. They asked how long I had owned the vacuum and told them around 3 years. They had a technician look at it and told me that I would need to replace the entire base. They told me it would typically cost $200 to get the replacement part from Dyson, but then told me Dyson does not even make that part anymore, so there was no option for repair. They said the best option was to just buy a whole new vacuum and charged me for looking at the vacuum. Because I did not want to spend money on an entire new vacuum, I went on the Dyson website and spent more time looking for my warranty information. I found out that all Dyson corded vacuums come with a 5 year warranty! This was not mentioned by Duluth Vacuum Company at all. They should have told me this and let me know the replacement could be free through the company. After a quick online conversation with Dyson customer service, they let me know they would send me an entire new base unit for free. This was the exact part that Duluth Vacuum Company said would cost me $200 if they were able to get it in stock, but then falsely told me the part isn't even made anymore. I have attached a photo of the free replacement unit Dyson sent me within a few weeks. The store workers do seem knowledgable and passionate about vacuums, and are certainly friendly. However, I feel like they are more focussed on selling their own vacuums than fixing a customers existing vacuum.
