Contacted DKD for bad lifter/dod delete job. June 27 sent $1K for parts like asked. Dropped off truck July 7 like asked, & mechanics wife said kit is missing a part, it’d be there the next day, truck would be done in a week. Summary of texts from mechanics wife: July 14- was told again kit is missing a part, it’d be there the next day & start on it. July 15- waiting on a bay to open up. July 17th- bay is open, mine will be done July 21. July 21- had family emergency over weekend, starting on it that evening. July 22- helpers will start on it, it’d be done July 23. July 23- be back that evening, it’d be done July 24 by 11am. July 24- helpers didn’t do the job, ready to fire them, it’ll for sure be done July 25 at close. July 25- got a late start, realized its 14-15 hr job instead of 13 hr, could start on it now, work through weekend, for sure have it done July 29 at close. Sun July 27 I had it checked on (being worked on through the weekend like told), I received a pic of it sitting in the same spot I parked it July 7. Mon July 28 I picked it up untouched to find a better shop. Talked to the mechanic for the first time, was told parts kit wasn’t ever there til July 25. I was told I was issued a refund for the parts deposit July 28 when I picked up my truck, almost 3 weeks later still no refund & no replies, it’s being legally resolved now since they wouldn’t comply. I DO NOT recommend this shop due to the compulsive lying, job never started when I had an appt, calls not answered only received texts from wife, mechanic not wanting to communicate, & over a month of my time wasted.
