Dexterous Appliance Repair serviced my Bosch dishwasher in Laurel Md. They were very courteous and prompt about scheduling and notifying me when the service technician would be present. The service technician was prompt, courteous, knowledgable, and discovered the cause of the problem quickly. The problem was a clogged aerator which took 30 seconds to clear. The technician spent time supposedly checking other things (which should have come under diagnostics). I had to pay $119 diagnostic charge plus another $100 for the 30 second fix.

He quickly diagnosed the “Ur” error code on my washing machine, explaine the problem clearly, gave me the exact parts and part numbers to purchase, and set expectations upfront. The repair price was also very reasonable. Shamsi worked efficiently and carefully, and he even cleaned the machine and area afterward. Everything works good as new now. Throughout the process communication was excellent, with frequent texts and phone calls, for diagnosis, scheduling, and repair. Our Samsung refrigerator wasn’t staying cold, and the ice maker kept freezing up. We called Dexterous Appliance and were impressed that they were able to schedule service the very next day. Shamsi, the owner and service technician, was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to clearly explain the problem and the needed repairs. The issue was limited to the upper refrigerator section—the middle drawer and bottom freezer were working perfectly. Shamsi explained that the repair required two sensors, a cooler panel, and a new ice maker. Our 2015 Samsung 28 cu. ft. refrigerator now feels like new again, and at around $900, repairing it made far more sense than replacing it. We’ve had appliances last decades with two moves and never serviced (our 29-year-old KitchenAid is still going strong), being our first time repairing an appliance we appreciate honest, practical advice.
