Custom Overhead Doors

My garage door was blown partly into my garage during the freak storm we had Monday night. I was outside assessing the damage Tuesday morning when two guys from Custom Overhead Doors happened to drive by, going to another job. They stopped and asked if I needed help. Of course I said yes! They got the door back in place, fixed the frame of the garage and then went back to their shop to get the materials to replace the damaged tracks that the door slides on when opening and closing. They had to work in cramped and dark conditions as the door fell against my vehicles. They did a wonderful job and were careful not to damage the vehicles. The cost was very reasonable. I am so grateful that they happened by when I really needed the help and whole heartedly and highly recommend this company.

i have had a similar unpleasant experience with this company. I live out of town. the day we were scheduled for installation, i received a request to pay in full and was told the install was complete, there was no mention of any issues at install. my contractor happened to be present and informed me that one of the windows on the garage door was broken and that the weather stripping was unable to be installed. when i spoke to the front office, they confirmed this. i then offered to pay all but $500 of the remaining balance until the project was fully completed. this was not taken easily and was met with some unreasonable rudeness, even though i find it fair not to pay for a job in full unless it is fully completed. they returned a few weeks later to replace the window and add the weather stripping. i then paid the remainder of my balance at their request. again, nothing was mentioned to me about any further issues at this return visit. when i returned to the house over a month later, i realized then they had not reinstalled the motor to open the door and I had to open it manually, nor had they replaced the keypad on the side to open to the door. when i called the company, i was again met with unreasonable rudeness regarding the issue, no clear explanation as to why they did not replace the motor and keypad; also no reason as to why i was not notified they job was completed. when i asked either for a refund of what it would cost me to have it reinstalled, or for the company to return to finish the job, i was told i would be called back within a business day. 3 days later no returned phone call, i called again and was told i would receive a call back. 2 weeks later i have not heard back. I requested to speak with the owner multiple times and was flat out denied.
