My husband and I remodeled our basement recently and we used Color Carpets. Jeff the owner met with us in person at the store and went over all the details. We where highly pleased with all the work his company did for us that we decided to purchase flooring for our rent house a few months afterwards! Without a doubt I would recommend anyone to check out his store for all your flooring needs.
(As always my reviews are unbiased, and my honest opinion, and observation.) To start they're wasn't a person, or sole insight. They had a sign on the door saying be back in two hours. They may be that busy, not sure. However quite unprofessional! *Someone should always be manning the phones, along with a sales agent on Property during 'Store hours'. Is it poor business practices? Will the carpet be of quality? Will they get it in stock on time? Will they be unprofessional in any other ways? Its makes one certainly wonder. Will they get it in stock on time? Will they be unprofessional in any other ways? Its makes one certainly wonder. We drove a distance based on the online Color Carpets Company Information, regarding 'store hours, Location, carpeting,/flooring inventory, etc, only to have not a sole insight to ask questions, look, or pricing. It's a shame for Color Carpets because we're changing flooring and carpet in our entire home. When you're on a schedule and budget, there's no time for Unprofessionalism *Update: We decided on another company. I will leave a review on the company, after the work is completed, but so far so good!
Don't be fooled by the name on the building. There are no color carpets, only shade of beige. I was hoping to shop local and am looking for a remnant to make a rug for 1950 home. When I asked if they had any carpets in seafoam/pale green I was told by a customer that that went out in the 70's. Upon explaining that I am not looking for kelly green or hunter green but a very pale green that would be appropriate with our 1950s sympathetic restoration the owner told me I should "travel back to the 50s and find it there." A simple "we don't have anything that would work for you" would have sufficed. At least when buying online I don't have t... Don't be fooled by the name on the building. I had a great experience with Color Carpets! I was looking for a new carpet for my living room and they had a wide selection to choose from. The sales associate was very helpful and knowledgeable, and he took the time to answer all of my questions. I ended up choosing a beautiful carpet that I love, and the installation went smoothly and on time. I would definitely recommend Color Carpets to anyone looking for new flooring! I hired Color Carpets in Winston-Salem to install LVP flooring in my basement. While the work was completed in a day, the experience that followed was incredibly troubling. Two unopened boxes of flooring I had paid for were left in my garage. When I returned home the next day, they were gone. I contacted Jeff White (my salesperson and part-owner), who told me he had come to my home without notifying me and took the flooring without asking. He assumed I “wouldn’t want them” or “didn’t have space to store them.” That was never discussed or agreed upon. I paid for those materials, and I was deeply uncomfortable to learn someone had entered my home while I wasn’t there. On top of that, I found ten empty beer bottles and four large beer cans left in my recycling bin—clearly from the workers. Extremely unprofessional and concerning. When I raised all this with Jeff, he offered no apology and instead tried to justify taking the flooring by pointing to general manufacturing damage—though my leftover boxes were perfectly intact. I cannot recommend this company due to the lack of respect for customer property, failure to communicate, and total absence of accountability.
